Choice between Outback or Forrester? I came to this dealership knowing I wanted a new Outback or Forrester for two reasons: A close friend owns a Forrester and I got to know her car on a I came to this dealership knowing I wanted a new Outback or Forrester for two reasons: A close friend owns a Forrester and I got to know her car on a joint vacation and I really learned a lot about both those models by a very knowledgeable salesman at Proctor Subaru of Tallahassee, Gary McClure. I bought my 2018 Limited Outback from Jacksonville because it is 40 minutes away from my home instead of the 3.5 hours to the Tallahassee dealership. Getting oil changes and any service makes more since being closer. Mark Minter was my salesman at the Jacksonville Subaru. Mark who is also a very knowledgeable salesman, went into great detail on both models and I drove both models. Both of those models with their loaded options were excellent choices and even after finally struggling and opting for the Outback, I'm sure I would have been just as happy with the Forrester. It was a win win choice and thank you MarK for your great patience and abundant knowledge. I am a happy camper! More

The whole team treats you right! After a car accident that totalled my old 95 Corolla in July, and a far too late start on building my credit, I thought I was pretty doomed as far as After a car accident that totalled my old 95 Corolla in July, and a far too late start on building my credit, I thought I was pretty doomed as far as cars went. I looked for months and went to more than a few dealerships. Subaru of Jax was a different experience, though. They had a great car at a great price, and even further worked with me on that and helped me get set up with financing. The whole process with smooth and they answered every question along the way honestly, never judging me for being a total noobie with the whole process. Bruce Holmes was the first person I encountered, and he was awesome! He took me to drive the car and told me some things about Subaru I hadn't known about. Never made me feel pressured to walk out of the dealership with a car that day, which I really appreciated since I like to think on big choices. The next day I'd decided I wanted to drive it again and if I still loved it, I'd buy it. Josh Strickland got me the keys and drove with me, and told me again of some general know how of cars and dealerships when I asked him about a few things on the Carfax. I was still in love with the car but just a little hesitant on the price. My dad was there as my cosigner, and he and Josh worked out a fair price for both parties. Never once was Josh rude or unaccepting of what we were looking for, and I really appreciate his willingness to go that extra mile! I was turned over to Mark Minter (who was on my file from a previous e-mail inquiry for another vehicle) and Mike McCormack the finance manager who helped me get through the paperwork and dozen or so more questions I had (again, noobie first time car buyer). Mark was wonderful and kept us company the whole time we waited for forms to be drawn up and whatnot, told us some cool stories of his time working at dealerships. I learned even more from Mike, who didn't pressure me into buying anything extra that he felt wasn't necessary for my situation or vehicle. About a week after walking out of the dealership, I was very dismayed to find I had a sensor error that was making my dashboard lights very festive. "Jeez," I thought, "This is the nightmare scenario of buying a used car. Something is wrong already." I was very troubled at the idea of having to deal with this issue, and thought for sure the dealership would tell me tough luck. Wrong! I brought the car in and they replaced the sensor free of charge, and even gave me a brand new 2018 Forester to drive around in while they did it. They were so kind and took excellent care of me. TL;DR: Worked with 5 different people about buying a car and they were all professional, personable and not "all about the sale". Would recommend to anyone in the Jax area! More
