Poor Customer Service in Ann Arbor My wife and I relocated to SE Michigan in early 2023 from out of state. We are a two Subaru family. We purchased our Forester at the end of 2022 in NJ due to issue relocated to SE Michigan in early 2023 from out of state. We are a two Subaru family. We purchased our Forester at the end of 2022 in NJ due to issues with our previous vehicle (Nissan). We were looking into a service contract and it was suggested that we set one up at our new location to get the car serviced here in MI. At a recent visit to the Parts department at Subaru of Ann Arbor, I was directed to call the Finance Manager, Dana Wines, to enquire about service contracts. I immediately called Dana from the parking lot and had to leave a message describing our situation and needs. After not hearing back from Dana, I called and left another message. And then another. And then another. I also tried the Sales and Customer Support line. Over the course of two weeks, I called the dealership about eight times and left five voicemail messages. At no time was I able to talk to someone directly and none of my voice messages were replied to. So, I drove to the dealership. No one from Finance was available. Someone from sales scheduled a phone meeting with a manager who could talk to me about the contract. They were to call me at 10:00 am the following day. No call ever came. Additionally, I found out from another Subaru dealership, once your vehicle passes 6000 miles, it is no longer eligible for a service contract through Subaru. I passed the 6000-mileage mark on my way back from Subaru of Ann Arbor, when they scheduled my phone meeting. So, I find myself frustrated and without a service contract. I have never dealt with a business that is so non-responsive and has so little regard for customer care as Subaru of Ann Arbor. As a result, we will be servicing our two Subarus at Subaru of Grand Blanc. And, if we do end up purchasing another Subaru vehicle in the future, it certainly won’t be through Subaru of Ann Arbor. I worked with Westan at Subaru of Ann Arbor. He did an excellent job of helping me select a new vehicle for my family. I will definitely use him again. He did an excellent job of helping me select a new vehicle for my family. I will definitely use him again. More

My husband and I worked with Clayton and had a great car-buying experience! He took time to answer all of our questions, and never used any high pressure sales tactics. They worked with us on the price, car-buying experience! He took time to answer all of our questions, and never used any high pressure sales tactics. They worked with us on the price, and were even able to finance us through our own credit union. Clayton made sure our Subaru-buying experience is just as awesome as our Subaru-driving experience! Ben a sales manager tricked me into driving almost 50 miles to look at a car they have online as their bait and hook system. Got to the dealership and they lied. They did not even have the car it was a t miles to look at a car they have online as their bait and hook system. Got to the dealership and they lied. They did not even have the car it was a trick. Horrible way to do business. So this is the crappy review they are getting for being shady characters. You don't lie and trick people into driving far away because your a con artist. More
Never coming back! I suggest you DO NOT deal with these people. I made an appointment to look at a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium VIN: JTEBU5JR0K5712047 with I suggest you DO NOT deal with these people. I made an appointment to look at a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium VIN: JTEBU5JR0K5712047 with 24,202 miles. This is the email I received from them prior to my appointment - Sabrina Lately sabrina@subaruofannarbor.net Hello William, The Customer Care Center at Subaru of Ann Arbor reaching out on behalf of your Sales Consultant, Nathan Braley, in response to your interest on the 2019 Toyota 4Runner showing as available and listed at $38,000! When we go to make the deal they changed the price on me to $40,000 and would not sell it for what they promised. Then they tell me there is someone at the Toyota dealer next door that wants the vehicle and is waiting on my decision. Basically, trying to sell it out from underneath me. I showed Nathan the email I received, and he took a photo of my email along with a photo of what it showed on car gurus as it was listed for $38,000 and went to his boss with it. His boss did not care about me having proof of what they told me. Nathan came back with another story and a print out with a price on it of $39,000 that another person was going to pay for it. So much dishonesty going on here I don’t know what story to believe. I stood up and said forget it, im not paying anything more then what you promised in your email. This is bad business, This is bad business. Nathen proceeded to offer me a different vehicle and I told them I would never buy from them. I suggest you look at a different dealer that is more hones. And to you Nathan if this is all the doing of your boss I would tell you to leave this dealership and go work for a more reputable one. More
