Thank you so very much for your kindness and total consideration while we purchased our new (to us) Legacy. The car is fantastic! More importantly, you made a difficult periods (car accident, family consideration while we purchased our new (to us) Legacy. The car is fantastic! More importantly, you made a difficult periods (car accident, family death, etc...) much more bearable with your constant attention to detail and true caring. I was beyond impressed, and frankly, I can be hard to impress. Please have all of our heartfelt thanks. We look forward to much enjoyment of this vehicle and for sure will be returning when our mini-van needs updating. You truly are the best! Yours, Lise H. Hall More
Excellent buying experience at Mastro Subaru. We worked with Dick Polgreen and were very happy with the "no pressure" philosphy at Mastro Subaru as we've been turned off by other dealerships in the past wh with Dick Polgreen and were very happy with the "no pressure" philosphy at Mastro Subaru as we've been turned off by other dealerships in the past who have been too pushy. Dick was very knowledgeable regarding the two models we were considering, the Outback and Forester. We decided on the Forester and the entire buying transcation was handled very quickly and professionally. As this was our first experience with Mastro, I cannot comment on the Service Department, but if you are considering purchasing a Subaru, I would highly recommend visiting Mastro before you make your final decision. MY wife and I purchased an Outback from Mastro in 2007 and at that time I thought that this was one of the best dealerships I have been to.Our sales person Dick was great and one of the most knowleglbe sa and at that time I thought that this was one of the best dealerships I have been to.Our sales person Dick was great and one of the most knowleglbe sales persons I have met.We have just returned with our new Tribeca nothing had changed at this dealership Dick met us and in fact had pulled the Tribeca inside because it was going to rain.As I had expected the professionalism had not changed from the sales manager to the sales person to the owner who stopped by to thank us .By the way this is our fourth Subaru.I would reccomend this dealership to anyone there are Subaru dealerships closer but the drive for us was worth it. The sales team and finance were very friendly and professional. They were patient with my situation, waiting around both Friday and all day Saturday to provide me with a new car. I didn't feel like I was "attacked" by a sales person one typically experiences when looking at vehicles. After looking around the lot for a little while and approached the showroom, we were greeted by Mike. typically experiences when looking at vehicles. After looking around the lot for a little while and approached the showroom, we were greeted by Mike. He moved the vehicle I was interested in closer to the showroom and demonstrated his knowledge on the vehicle. We then went for a pleasant test drive and there wasn't any awkward silence I've experienced before. After the drive he gave me and my family 'alone time' to think about purchasing. We then met Sean, the Sales Manager, who was extremely friendly. Both Mike and Sean were very helpful, and flexible through the purchasing process. Never once did I feel like they were pushing us to buy the vehicle. I am not a fan of the 'buying a vehicle' process, so I'm not going to say it was fun or great, but it wasn't so bad with Mastro. Overall, they tried to make the experience as simple as possible, they knew what they were doing, and were extremely friendly. More
Great buying experience. Mike was my salesman and was very knowledgeable about the WRX I test drove and purchased. This really impressed me: during the test drive I was going full throttle to see what t very knowledgeable about the WRX I test drove and purchased. This really impressed me: during the test drive I was going full throttle to see what the car would do, and he warned me that I should keep it under 4000 RPM because of the break in period. I've been on a lot of test drives (and always drive like a complete idiot) and never had any sales person express any concern for the vehicle's break in period. This showed me that he not only knew the details of the break in, but also that he was concerned that whoever got that car would have a properly broken in vehicle. The whole staff was extremely laid back and I felt no pressure at any point. After the test drive, we discussed price and I said I wanted to visit another dealership to drive a Legacy GT before making my decision. There was no "oh wait sir, what do we have to do to put you in this car NOW" or any of that attitude, they were very nice and relaxed about it. After driving the Legacy (which BTW is a fantastic car) I decided to go with the WRX primarily because of price, so I called the Mastro guys back, made a deal, and came back. Everything was done within an hour or so with no games. More
Buying a car is not always a pleasant experience and it seemed that way when we started the day with our first stop at another competitor's dealership. However, that was not the case at Mastro Subaru. Wh seemed that way when we started the day with our first stop at another competitor's dealership. However, that was not the case at Mastro Subaru. When we arrived at Mastro Subaru, after allowing us a little browse time which we liked, Tracy Lane asked if she could be of assistance. She took the time to review the features of the Legacy Outback that we were interested in and was able to answer all of our questions which demonstrated her product knowledge. The review was followed up by the best test drive experience under the guidance of Tracy. Upon returning from the test drive, we were ready to start the financial discussion. Paul and other team members worked with us to negotiate the payment plan that would meet our budget. This part of the process can be painful but they made it a pleasant experience. By the time we finished with everything, we honestly felt we had known Tracy and the team for some time. We owned a Legacy and XT Subaru back in the 1980s and Mastro Subaru took excellent care of us back then. We were excited they were still in business today and continue to demonstrate excellent customer service. More
We live in North Carolina and recently decided to purchase a 2011 Outback Limited. Our local dealer did not have the model we were looking for but Mastro did. We sent an e-offer on Friday night at 1 purchase a 2011 Outback Limited. Our local dealer did not have the model we were looking for but Mastro did. We sent an e-offer on Friday night at 11 pm and by 9:15 am Saturday morning, Paul Hamilton had gotten back to us saying our offer had been accepted. I called our local dealer and told them of the offer Mastro had accepted, they quite frankly said they couldn't touch it and told me to be wary of dealer fees. I called Mastro back and asked them what their dealer fees were and they were only $100 more than our local dealer. I had a friend of mine who lived locally go and check out the vehicle. We put a down payment on it and Mastro got the paperwork ready. I took a cheap flight down on Sunday, stayed with family, and arrived at Mastro when they opened on Monday morning at 9 am. Tracy Lane showed me all the features of the car and we test drove it to make sure everything checked out. I signed the paperwork, made final payment and was on the road before 11 am. Great...Great experience. My advice to anyone is to test drive the cars to find what you are looking for and then shop the internet and get the price you are comfortable with. If the dealer you find wants to play games, find another dealer. Mastro didn't play any games- they were straight business, professional and pleasant to boot...how refreshing. More
