Unethical. I purchased my Outback at another dealership. The dealer wouldn't accept a legal Power of Attorney to close on a car. The Dealership agreed to sell m I purchased my Outback at another dealership. The dealer wouldn't accept a legal Power of Attorney to close on a car. The Dealership agreed to sell me an Outback through the Costco purchase program. My company was purchasing the car. They told me that the dealership would title the car in GA. I am not listed as a company officer (though I am an owner.) Sean M. insisted that one of the "owners" had to be physically present to sign paperwork (this is not true.) I pointed out that the DMV has a standard form that gives temporary Power of Attorney to individuals for such a situation. General Manager said he would call me with a final decision on using form HSMV 82053 for issuing or changing car titles. He called me once to say no decision had been made; then, silence. I never received another call or a "final" decision. They wanted the owners of my company to travel 5.5 hours to sign papers that I was authorized with Power of Attorney to sign. The car was being purchased with a certified check. I believed they didn't want to sell the car for the Costco Auto program price. This dealer did this to my daughter. She had to travel from Las Vegas, even though my wife was authorized to close. All they want to do is get the purchaser in a room with the finance guys to sell you over-priced financing and seat protectants. Don't deal with these guys. More
I bought my new Forster at Subaru South Tampa in 2016. Have had all maintenance and repairs done here. Never had a bad experience. They treat me well and are friendly and pleasant. I’ve never had to take my car back because something wasn’t done right. The waiting area is comfortable — free coffee and a few snacks (you can buy different ones from a machine). Free Wi-Fi so I can work some while I wait. Sometimes they have a free loaner car available for repairs that will take a several hours. I don’t have any complaints. More
