I had a horrific experience as I tried to help my daughter (a new college graduate) purchase a car from this dealership. The upper management of this dealership would not honor a commitment made by daughter (a new college graduate) purchase a car from this dealership. The upper management of this dealership would not honor a commitment made by one of its own managers. The sad part is that they reneged on the deal AFTER running her credit. On the first visit, my daughter rejected the initial offer made by the sales manager Tristan. As we walked away, he indicated that he had about another $1000 that he could take off the deal. We filed that away and went to the next stop. After a lot of thought, my daughter decided to go back the next day and try to make a deal. She had a number in mind that was not far off of what had initially been offered. After some negotiation with the salesperson Christian and Tristan the manager, they agreed to the deal. In the words of Tristan. "So, if we go to x down and x a month, we have a deal?" My daughter replied yes. He said "OK, let's do it". Tristan then wrote down the parameters that we had agreed to, and asked my daughter to sign it- which she did. At that point, Tristan asked my daughter to fill out a credit app, which she did. Her credit was run and we were told they were prepping the documents. At that point, Tristan came back and indicated that "He wasn't sure where the numbers came from." (Well, they came from you) Eventually we were told that they could not honor this commitment. It seems that a different manager (wish I had his name) had killed the deal. After waiting a VERY long time for him to come speak with us, I got up and went into his office. He wanted to "go over the numbers" with me. I indicated that it wasn't necessary- the numbers had been agreed to. If a mistake was made, the right thing to do is honor your word. After trying to diffuse by pointing out detailed numbers, he clearly was not going to do the right thing. He then said "Let's just agree not to do business" and then amazingly "We did all we could" Be warned. More
