Andy55- We’re very sorry to learn that you’ve experienced some issues with your Blazer. We’re also very surprised to hear about these reported issues for the first time on DealerRater.com, and almost six months after you purchased this truck from our Atlanta location. Accuracy within in our listings is what we always strive for, but in many instances we’re at the mercy of representing the vehicle how it is represented to us. We represented this particular Blazer as a strong driver-quality truck and seeing as how it made the trip from Atlanta to Virginia, I would say our representation was accurate. Also, you previously posted a review on Dealerater that rated us with more stars, and you were in fact complimentary of the Blazer, sans the valve cover gasket you needed to replace along your journey home. Had you contacted us sooner, there may have been an opportunity where we could have provided some assistance. You also bought this vehicle very well, below market value actually, and were even able to negotiate an additional $2K reduction from the listing price. On top of that, you insisted that we cover your $199 doc fee, which we happily did in the spirit of maintaining a deal. Most importantly, you saw this truck in person, spent a good amount of time with it from what we can recall, and then happily drove it away from our showroom without ever bringing any issues to our attention. We can certainly understand some of your frustrations sir, but you did not levy any of them before you endorsed numerous AS-IS binding paperwork, and before you drove this discounted vehicle out of our facility. In fact, you seemed quite content sir, and only now, six months later, are we aware of the issues you have apparently experienced. Thankfully, it sounds like they have not dampened your enthusiasm too much regarding your Blazer, for which we are thankful. We thank you for your purchase and wish you luck with your great truck!

It has been 6 months but it is still vivid in my mind. Dealer rater would not allow me to post a negative review and recommend the dealership so this is why my review changed. I took the word of these people that everything was okay but the first time I drove the truck was when it was mine, pulling out of the parking lot. How was I supposed to know about these issues when the truck never hit operating temperature inside the building. I was backed in to a corner because I flew down and the Blazer was my only means of transportation. I barely made it to the Shell station on Thornton rd. THAT IS NOT A SOLID DRIVER (1.7miles)! If I would have bought this truck at market value I would have been seriously RIPPED OFF. I was just lied to and misled. There was another truck at the Tampa location that had an almost identical description. Now that the truck is home it is a good solid driver after a lot of TLC. So with all this said my review stands. DO NOT buy a car unseen, DO NOT believe what they tell you, and HAVE a third party check out the car. I love my Blazer but it was not as it was presented online.

Streetside Classics - Atlanta responded

Although we at Streetside are certainly concerned that this transporter felt strongly enough to leave a negative review about our company, the account of the events that transpired, are not correct. The moment the unannounced transporter walked in our doors at 9 am on Tuesday morning, our sales associate that sold the vehicle to the transporters colleague quickly explained that the car was not ready for shipment. The buyer had NOT informed any of our staff of the transporter’s pending arrival as the doors opened on the opening day of our work week, Tuesday. There was no call or email to our staff regarding a set pickup date and time after the vehicle was just paid for the Saturday before. With a scheduled pickup, the vehicle certainly would have been ready. As is typical in Streetside’s showrooms, five other vehicles were scheduled to be picked up the same day, and they were all prepped and ready for transport because we had received proper advanced notice from our clients. A managerial decision to stop all other business and pull in the entire staff to get the car ready for transport was made. With 400 cars in our Atlanta facility, it does take time to carefully move everything around to get a vehicle in or out of our warehouse. To help the situation, we even put a new battery in the vehicle since we did not have time to fully charge the good battery that was currently in it. Communication is the key, and had the arrival of the transporter been known, our staff would have been prepared. Although TracyNTexas didn’t feel he got the service that he deserved, Streetside Classics has industry-leading client reviews, an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and a sterling reputation that provides us with countless repeat business…that will certainly continue. Again, we apologize and believe that the staff acted above and beyond to accommodate the situation, given the circumstances and timeline. Although TracyNTexas was not a direct client, we always strive to treat everyone with prompt attention and respect.
