Street Smart Auto Brokers responded

The customer said that we are the worst dealership he has ever dealt with, but the problem he had has nothing to do with us; he had a problem with his truck thousands of miles after he purchased it. The customer purchased a vehicle and had a problem with the turbo actuator failing 6 months after the purchase. At the time of the sale, the customer was offered an extended service agreement that would have covered the repair, but the customer declined the offer to purchase the agreement. There is no way to predict when a component on a vehicle is going to fail months in the future. Machines aren't perfect, and parts sometimes fail. That is why we offer extended service contracts. Dealers do not warranty used vehicles indefinitely. We also could have saved the customer some money on the repair, but he took it to another shop to have the work done. I also offered the customer a credit for future work at our service department, but he declined. He received a very fair price on his truck, and it unfortunately ended up needing a turbo actuator months later. He chose to upgrade and replace the turbo also, which is where the $4000 figure comes from; the actuator was not $4000.
