This customer purchased a vehicle a year ago and still insists on maligning us since we failed to cave to his social media blackmail. I will share the details again, since he cannot accept his responsibility as an adult who made a purchase decision covered by a binding contract. As anyone can see from our other reviews, we are reasonable. We will bend over backwards to help customers that communicate and respond professionally. We don't have any inclination to help those who malign or disparage us with false accusations. As I have shared on multiple review sites, here are the facts: Mr. Green agreed to purchase a vehicle and also chose to purchase a non-cancelable extended service agreement. He signed in at least three different places to purchase the agreement. Nobody talked him into a warranty; he was presented with payment options with and without the warranty, and he selected the payment option including the warranty. When he asked to cancel the warranty afterward, we attempted to assist even though the terms of the agreement did not provide for this. I assume he had buyer's remorse? The finance contract had already been sent to the lender, and the extended warranty application had already been sent to the warranty provider. Since it takes some time for all of these things to be processed, we told Mr. Green we had to wait. Instead of being patient he took to social media and disparaged us for not instantly undoing a decision a grown adult made on his own. We were attempting to assist, but since he has acted this way and blames us for things out of our control, he is on his own. If he is able to cancel his warranty, he will have to deal with the warranty company directly. I will not participate in supporting his refusal to take responsibility for his actions while blaming those who were attempting to help him.

I admit I didn't fully read my contract when I bought my truck. Mike Burgess handled the financing. He tacked on a $6995 service agreement fee without discussing it with me. I called to have it removed and More

This customer purchased a truck in July. She agreed to the terms of the agreement which included a comprehensive service contract for $6995. She was well aware of the contract and acknowledged her decision through signatures on the finance/product menu, the service contract agreement, the buyer's order, and the finance contract. The terms of the service contract through the warranty company state that the contract cannot be cancelled. Our finance manager was out in August, as his wife was in the hospital. At this time she contacted our General Manager John Rotola to tell him that she wanted to cancel the contract because she had found cheaper coverage through an independent aftermarket provider. John attempted to explain that the Century policy was a more comprehensive policy than some others offered by less reputable warranty companies. He also shared that some dealers offer basic coverage and represent it as more extensive coverage, but we will not do that. Her contract allows repairs at any certified service center nationwide and allows direct billing to the provider; she does not have to pay the bill and submit the claim (hoping to be reimbursed). By the time the customer contacted John, the finance contracts had been processed and the premium had been allocated to the service contract company. The terms of the policy state that it is not able to be cancelled. Had the customer contacted us sooner, we could have amended the agreement. I was unaware of the situation until the customer posted on Facebook disparaging us and misrepresenting the facts. I am sorry that the customer regretted her decision to buy the service contract, but we did nothing wrong. Most of our customers opt for coverage, and we recommend it. We explain everything at time of sale. Finding cheaper, less comprehensive coverage elsewhere at a later date and asking to cancel a contract that has already been processed and funded is not an option. We offer added coverages at time of sale and allow customers to choose. I encourage customers to read everything and ask questions before they sign legally binding contracts.

Wow! A bunch of lies. I did not tell John that I found cheaper coverage. John did not explain anything about the policy. He just argued with me. I did contact you sooner to cancel. Nobody would answer the phone. Mike's wife was having surgery so he couldn't help me. 2 months later I finally get the Century policy that states they only cover 50% of the cost of the service the truck needs and it doesn't cover hauling. So now the truck broke down and needs a new transmission. The Century company refused to cover it. I have expressed several times to Mike and Jose what that truck would be used for. It's a flatbed 1-ton truck. Do you think I bought it to go to the movies? Why would you sell me a policy for that truck knowing what I was using it for and knowing it wouldn't be covered? Why would I buy a policy that doesn't cover the truck????

I am sorry that you are disappointed with your purchase, but your review is riddled with untruths. First of all, you left a deposit and took the car to have it inspected by a mechanic. My business/finance manager had to call you after a couple of days to ask you to either return the car or complete the purchase. You returned the car, and we replaced the radiator per your request. You inquired about the struts: they are not new, but they did not need to be replaced. Cars in this price range cannot be rebuilt to new condition; they are used cars. Before you ever looked at the car, we had sent it to Heuberger for a diagnosis on the drivability issue. Heuberger recommended that the transmission be replaced, and we sent it to another shop to have the transmission replaced. Nobody told you Heuberger replaced the transmission-- we told you that we sent it their for a second opinion. It really shouldn't matter who actually replaced it, but we had a reputable shop install a warrantied replacement transmission. All told, we spent over $3500 to get this 8 year old car with over 100k miles in good condition. Perhaps your expectations are too high for used vehicles in the lower price range. Now I wish we had sold it to someone who appreciated what a great value the car was for the price you paid. As far as the rest of your review is concerned, it is ridiculous. Nobody insulted your appearance. If you were offended by my managers demanding that you bring the car back (since you kept it longer than agreed), then perhaps you should have honored your commitment. You took the car and did not bring it back until they became frustrated and demanded that you complete the sale or return the car. My management will get firm when a customer doesn't cooperate. Only then did you finally come in and pay for the car. Last of all, I have a copy of the Carfax that you signed that discloses repaired damage to the vehicle. Your claims that we did not disclose this to you are completely false. More lies. Incidentally, you never contacted anyone on my team after the fact to express any displeasure. Instead of asking for clarification or assistance, you post false narratives on review sites. Unbelievable!
