Virtually all dealerships now charge a "dealers fee" or "dealer's prep charge" or some other phony name for profit markup. The least of these I have encountered was $1,400, the most, $4,000. In the old days, dealers would try to upsell buyers with such dubious products as undercoatings. At least a wise buyer could refuse those add-ons. Not so with dealer fees. They are non-negotiable and therefore should be disclosed in the listings. With Stream Auto Outlet, the BS dealer fee was "only" $3,000. That is until I disclosed that I was a cash buyer, at which time I was told the vehicle would be $48,000! I do not know whether the 8K markup for not using their ripoff financing included the 3k dealer fee because I hung up on the scamster/salesman I was talking to. I would not purchase a vehicle at any price from a dealership so dishonest. I suspect that most of any favorable ratings they have gotten are either bogus or from buyers who do not know when they are being ripped off. More

Worst dealership I have ever encountered! The price they listed online looks really low and will bait you to the dealership. Guess what? They told me the price is negotiable via phone, but it was FIRM when listed online looks really low and will bait you to the dealership. Guess what? All xxxxxxxx and the truth is I almost paid 5000 dollars just for the dealership fee! I have already regretted purchasing a suv at the dealership as I have seen similar cars at other car shops costed less than 3000 dollars and they all have transparent fees.
