Rodent damage from new? Seeing other posts on this forum, I felt compelled to share my purchase experience even though it is from a few years ago. I too made the mistake of buying a car from Stonebriar Chev I felt compelled to share my purchase experience even though it is from a few years ago. I too made the mistake of buying a car from Stonebriar Chevrolet. I bought a Chevy Volt, and within days, began having electrical problems. After telling me the car had rodent damage and wouldn’t be covered under warranty, I stressed that I had just bought the car days earlier, and had less than 200 miles on it. Stonebriar Chevrolet then performed a few superficial repairs, and lead me to believe the problems were fixed. Later, when the car all but stopped running, General Manager Jeff Power & Service Manager Bill Hall refused to concede that the latest problems were related to the original problems, insisting that I must have rodents in or around my home (note that I have regular pest control, and had NEVER seen evidence of rodents in or around my home). Timing: 2016-08-22: Factory production completed of what will later become my Chevrolet Volt. 2016-08-31: Pre-Delivery Inspection of Volt performed by Stonebriar Chevrolet (Bill Hall). 2016-09-23: Battery cable misalignment reported and cable connection at fuse-block verified. 2016-11-28: I purchased this Chevrolet Volt from Stonebriar Chevrolet, with 12-miles reported on the Odometer Statement at closing. I didn’t know until MUCH later that this car had been sitting at Stonebriar Chevrolet since 31-Aug-2016 (approximately 3-months). 2016-12-10: After only 12-days and just 200 miles on the odometer (188 miles of owner driving) and having repeatedly experienced electrical / electronic problems over the preceding days (“Check Engine” light came on), I took the new Volt back to Stonebriar Chevrolet to have these matters addressed. The Service Advisor (Brian Hershman) reported that the Volt had “rodent damage to the evaporative emission system purge valve line” and initially said it wouldn’t be covered by warranty. After I explained that I had purchased the car just 12-days earlier, and that it had only ~ 200 miles on it, and that the problems were present from day one, they replaced it at no charge (I assume under warranty). They found normal operation of the other electronics which had been having intermittent problems. 2017-08-24: Took the Volt to Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas (service advisor Ryan Knowles) with more electrical / radio / infotainment problems. They installed some new software telling me they hoped and expected this would fix the problem. Intermittent problems continued but hadn’t yet disabled the vehicle. I should have pressed for some kind of lemon-law replacement (not sure if Texas even has that kind of law), but I never did. 2019-03-22: After having more dashboard error symbols appear and OnStar warning messages, I took the car in for service…again. I received a call from Steve Zaher, Service Advisor at Maher Chevrolet stating that the O2 Sensor was bad along with the entire wiring harness having rodent damage, and was shown evidence of previous substandard repairs. Zaher said because this was not a manufacturers defect, it was not covered by the GM warranty. Repair estimate of ~ $3,000. 2019-03-22: I phoned and spoke with Bill Hall, Service Manager of Stonebriar Chevrolet informing him of the problem and the fact that it is their responsibility. I’m told that Mr. Hall spoke with Steve Zehra (Maher Chevrolet) and requested photo’s, which Zahra emailed. 2019-03-26: Received a VoiceMail from Steve Zahra at Maher Chevrolet stating he hadn’t heard back from Bill Hall (Stonebriar Chevrolet). Zahra needed to know whether Stonebriar was going to stand behind the problem, otherwise I would have to pay. 2019-03-26 ~ 2:30 PM ET: Bill Hall (Stonebriar) called saying they’ve discussed the matter & decided not to “participate”. When I questioned the meaning, he spoke the EXACT same wording repeatedly. I would guess that he’d been coached by Stonebriar’s legal counsel. To summarize: I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from using Stonebriar Chevrolet. In fact, I probably should have written letters to the Better Business Bureau, General Motors headquarters, etc. More

This dealership is a disgrace! I purchased a car back in April, it had been sitting on their lot for over a year unchecked and untouched. They didn’t do a service check up or anything when I bought the car. April, it had been sitting on their lot for over a year unchecked and untouched. They didn’t do a service check up or anything when I bought the car. They charged me over $3,000 over the sticker price of the car in “dealer services”. Within a week I was already having problems with the car, I called them and went up there and they wouldn’t even do a service check. Now here we are 3 months down the road and I have a check engine light which has came on and went off and back on within a week and I have “rodent” damage to my fuel lines. They’ve quoted me $1,000 to fix my car, even though it doesn’t look like rodent damage, and I’ve had the car for less time than it sat in their lot UNTOUCHED AND UNCHECKED, without any service check ups, and are refusing to do anything. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND ANYONE GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP TO EITHER BUY A CAR OR TO SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THEY ARE A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A DEALERSHIP. The only thing they are good for is to tell you there’s nothing they can do or give excuses More

I was helped by John Cutler through the car-buying experience, and I have nothing but really great things to say about him. Once I showed my interest online on a specific vehicle, he instantly provide experience, and I have nothing but really great things to say about him. Once I showed my interest online on a specific vehicle, he instantly provided a video of the car with his explanation about the features. He was super friendly and helpful and were able to test-drive and make the purchase without a single hiccup. Even I brought a Honda car, my experience with John was great. Would absolutely buy a car from here again. More
The Service Staff at Stonebriar Chevrolet, starting with my Service Advisor, Ms Lenah Coe, and including the professional technicians, the Parts Department, and the Cashier Staff are the best in the Service my Service Advisor, Ms Lenah Coe, and including the professional technicians, the Parts Department, and the Cashier Staff are the best in the Service industry, not just the auto industry. All of my Corvettes are maintained and maximized by the Stonebriar Chevrolet Service team. I don't trust anyone else to touch these Dream vehicles. My oldest Corvette is a 2006 Z51 Convertible in as-new condition recently updated to 2021 features. Today, when I picked the car up it had been lovingly detailed and the primary technician made a point to find me and go over every detail of the work I commissioned. Having my out-of-this-world fun to own and drive cars worked on at Stonebriar Chevrolet is exactly how a caring, close family member would treat and care for your vehicle. I can give no higher compliment to these Professionals. Conrad Young More
