First Class Dealership - All the way! I found this website to write a review, which I rarely do unless I feel a place needs to clean up their act, like on Yelp. Before you wonder, no one t I found this website to write a review, which I rarely do unless I feel a place needs to clean up their act, like on Yelp. Before you wonder, no one told me about this site, I do not work for VW, and am a professional web designer who feels those that do great work need affirmations in life. I originally was looking at a used GTI. The original guy I talked to is not even on this site yet. He seemed brand new - young - scratchy voice - tall lanky - but very knowledgeable and considerate. We took a 2013 GTI for a test drive. He had a previous customer he had to attend to and told me they work as a team, which is when I was quickly introduced to Phillip. Now this guy is something else. I look at all his reviews and they are all 5 stars. It's not a coincidence. Not pushy - personable - asked a lot of questions. Informative. When I could not come to an agreement on a comfortable price point on the used car I was looking at - another gentlemen who was running some numbers in what looked like the sales "situation room" by the name of David Schilpp asked if I would consider a lease. You know from your first interaction with David that he's both a veteran and a pro. I only see him with 5 reviews on this site but it's hard to believe he doesn't have 30+ like Phillip and Mr. Mechling (I'll get to him in a moment). Anyway, David introduced the idea of getting into a lease while sitting with Phillip. The 2015 GTI are incredible cars. I loved the idea - Clark Howard actually suggested if you don't tend to stay with a car for a long period of time that leases can be smart decisions. I also have a few collectors cars - so restricting miles to 15,000 miles / year was not an issue for me. Phillip took me for a test drive in a 2015 GTI and I feel in love with it. I now get the whole "VW" / V Dub frenzy and VW cult fanatics out there. It's a cult car because they are so practical, sporty, I just loved the whole driving experience of one... and I have a 600hp Audi Allroad Twin Turbo. At high speed, the GTI would give a run for the Audi's money because of the allroad's final drive gear. Anyway, I was convinced getting into a 2015 was what I wanted to do and between Phillip and David, I got into a new car. After talking to those gentleman, I met with Kurt Mechling who sat me down for the final paperwork. While going over the paper work I started discussing the 2015 Shemitah! LMAO - he probably thought I was some kind of nut, but google it and make your own decision! :) After deciding on a car, I was in the closing office with Kurt in about 15 minutes. I was surprised how short the experience was. There were lots of people there when I left, but I was in and out in no time. The very next day I went to the service department and got a VW hat, a cute "V-Dub" tank top for my wife, and some rubber floor mats... and I'm glad I did. The 3rd day of having the car my wife's guacamole from a mexican restaurant went all over the floor board! The rubber floor mats took it all. I took it out, washed it off, and not a spot was on any fabric. Get some floor mats - they saved my interior. All in all I had an excellent experience. Even service was great. They matched a price I showed them I had bookmarked on my wishlist on my Amazon App. He stated I would probably just order them online if they didn't price match anyway, and won my business on the spot. This dealership really works as a team and you can tell there is good leadership there. There has to be. I make an excellent living and time is money to me. I would not be wasting time writing such a lengthy review of this dealership if I was not immensely impressed with my experience. If you are looking for a VW, I'd drive as far as Macon, GA to do business with this dealership. They are that good. In short. I knew the type of car I wanted and the budget I had in mind. I was in and out without the typical high pressure sales - just an eagerness to get my business, keep me satisfied in the process, and into a car that I liked that was within my preset budget I had set for myself. I'd highly recommend this dealership to anyone. They have certainly Earned my business and have shown the highest caliber of professionalism. Top shelf in my book.
