Bought to attention of manager named dave, who did nothing except act like a jerk and suggested that i attempt to file warranty claim. two weeks earlier i spent 3 hours at dealership while several people including service dept tried to pair my cellphone to bluetooth feature of car. no one at dealership realized that not all phones are compatible with vehicle. i had to figure it out myself. will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership. prices are not that good either, check around before you buy there. I purchased a pre-owned 2000 Honda Accord on October 21, 2010. About six weeks later on December 9, the car left me and my two year old stranded on the side of the road 4 1/2 hours from home. I am a student 2010. About six weeks later on December 9, the car left me and my two year old stranded on the side of the road 4 1/2 hours from home. I am a student who attends school out of state and I purchased the car because Hondas are know for their reliabilty. Not the case with this car. After my parents went up to the dealership the only the only thing they were told was I bought the car "as-is". After doing some research I learned that this particular year and model had a recall on the transmission. After speaking to the GM, Mr. Higgins, he told me if I could get the car back to Georgia they would fix it(not for free) or give me a portion of my money back and try to get me in something else. I am a full-time student and neither I nor my parents have the money to get this car towed 400 plus miles. I feel that I was misled when I bought this car. No reasonable person would believe that this car has been serviced and put through a 145 point inspection(as they claim) and have such major mechanical issues such a short time later. I was even informed by Honda Customer Service that it seems "they were aware of the problem and misled me"(the Honda Customer Service Representatives words). As a young woman and a parent I can't express the feelings of fear and helplessness of being stuck on the side of the highway hours before dark, in 30 degree weather miles from any family or friends who could help. What does it say about a business who would knowingly sell someone are car with transmission issues? I went to Carey Paul based because several people I know have bought cars from here and have been pleased. I don't feel that I should be held financially accountable for towing or repairs because this was obviously a problem that should have been taking care of before the car was put on the lot. I would like for Carey Paul to prove that they have earned the reputation of being an excellent care dealership by fixing this issue in a timely matter for me but at this point I don't feel that this will happen. No one returns phone calls. It took over 2 weeks to resolve a minor problem ( getting another remote key), the salesman who was supposed to be available to me and agreed to meet me wasn't even in the b resolve a minor problem ( getting another remote key), the salesman who was supposed to be available to me and agreed to meet me wasn't even in the building when I arrived and did not answer his cell phone. I waited 2 hours to get the key and only the service dept guy bothered to apologise for the delay. When the General manager was notifed that his sales guys weren't returning phone calls, he did not even give us the courtesy of a personal call but we did FINALLY get a call from one of the sales men. I received nothing but courteous and efficient service from the minute I arrived at Carey Paul Honda. I was first met by Joe Stafford who I found out is a sales manager. I told him I wanted to trade in from the minute I arrived at Carey Paul Honda. I was first met by Joe Stafford who I found out is a sales manager. I told him I wanted to trade in my car for a new Honda and lower my payment. He told me no problem. He introduced me to Calvin who showed me a Honda Civic and explained everything about the vehicle. I highly recommend this dealership. They treated me with respect and they also gave me a great deal. Being a female I was concerned about being taken advantage of. Just before leaving with my new Civic the manager, Joe Stafford thanked me for my business and made sure everything was fine. More
Joe kept calling and working to make the deal. They didn't have the car on the lot but Brandon "looked in the computer" and found 10 slated for the Southeast. They ran my credit, started the paperwork didn't have the car on the lot but Brandon "looked in the computer" and found 10 slated for the Southeast. They ran my credit, started the paperwork and we all shook hands. Of course they made sure I signed off that I would make the deal. They were supposed to call the next day to say when the car would arrive. No call. I called the next day and behold it was there. Went to pick it up. Come to find out, they drove to another state to get it - had 450 miles on it, ding on the door. Joe told me it was that car or none. I told him I was agreeing to buy a new car, not one that had already been driven who knows how. He did not honor his part of the agreement. They did not attempt to find me my new car and gave me my car back after making the deal. Beware of multiple managers working your deal. But more important, their word and handshake is worthless. Very poor ethics and not trustworthy. More
Carey Paul Honda is by far the worst car dealer I have ever done business with. I purchased a used 2009 Honda Accord and realized when I got it home that it did not have floor mats, the owner's manual, a ever done business with. I purchased a used 2009 Honda Accord and realized when I got it home that it did not have floor mats, the owner's manual, and the second key. Every time I call the Sales Manager, Joe Stafford, he tells me that he will call me back within 10 minutes but never does. I have also left many voice messages and e-mail messages with Mr. Stafford and other Carey Paul Honda staff and have never received a response. It is not the missing items from the car that is the result of this poor review, but rather the complete lack of effort to return my calls and e-mails and blatent lies that they will "call you right back". Any dealer with such poor and rude customer service and pure disrespect of customers does not deserve to have customers. I will never touch foot in Carey Paul Honda again and advise everyone to do the same. More
was negotiating a price for 2010 honda odyssey EX-L /RES and went and looked at the car. after everything was done and price was agreed on, i went in the next day to get the car and saw no dvd player in the and went and looked at the car. after everything was done and price was agreed on, i went in the next day to get the car and saw no dvd player in there. after asking they told me that they were going to buy one from best buy and put it in for me the next day. all these days we were dealing for a car which comes pre-installed from the manufacturer. If i had not inspected the car before signing the papers, i would have got cheated. These people are cheaters be very careful. the only reason i went there in the first place was because they were quoted less price to me online. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL about this dealership who know how many people they have already cheated. I have even complained about them to honda. good luck. More
This dealership is 2 miles from my house. In the last 6 months, I have purchased 2 brand new Honda's--fully loaded, one for me, and one from my daughter. Carey Paul is carrying a full inventory because th months, I have purchased 2 brand new Honda's--fully loaded, one for me, and one from my daughter. Carey Paul is carrying a full inventory because they think women are idiots. I have owned brand new Honda's for 20+ yrs and the rude, snide behavior of this dealership is astonishing. Over the last five years you would think, in two attempts to actually purchase a car they would catch on. So, I drove 25 miles north and had a great experience, and will continue to drive past this place every day until they go out of business, which cannot be too soon. More
Carey Paul Honda has a long list of dissatisfied customers due to their dishonest, unethical and incompetent practices. I took it to Carey Paul twice and spent several thousand dollars without the problem being resolved. After my first visit, they told me what I was experiencing was normal for a hybrid. I drove another Civic hybrid for a while to confirm that this was not the case. On my second visit, the replaced the start clutch, which made absolutely no difference with my problem. I took it back for a third time; they diagnosed a transmission problem, which I had suspected. However, they would not take any responsibility for not fixing the problem earlier, and would not subtract the cost of the (as far as I could tell) unneeded repairs. My service advisor (who was far better at talking fast than listening) made a show of trying to get the regional manager to give me a free or reduced-price transmission, but somehow my transmission problems were all my fault, even after I provided service records. I finally took my car back and am still driving it with a defective transmission. I advise everyone to RUN, not walk away from Carey Paul Honda's service department. More
