So many red flags we ignored and I’m so angry with myself. We ended up buying a 2021 Honda Accord LX. When we test drove the car the tire pressure light was on. I was told it would be diagnosed and fi myself. We ended up buying a 2021 Honda Accord LX. When we test drove the car the tire pressure light was on. I was told it would be diagnosed and fixed. I assume they just put air in the tire because the very next day the tire pressure light came back on. I was told the car was a nonsmoker car and that was a fat lie. I turned the heat on the next day and had the smell of cigarettes blasted in my face. The car now smells like cigarettes. I understand this is a used car but when you pay $35,000 you expect a little more. Again I understand that’s my bad I shoulda taken my money and gone elsewhere and found a 2022 new car. They literally kept us there all day so they could pressure us in. We were there for 8 hours. Financing part came and we had our own loan through the bank. We were offered .99% through Honda. Again I know we shouldn’t have left without having that exact percent but we were there all day and freaking exhausted. He said he’d call us Monday. We called and heard no answer and was told I would receive a call back. Finally got ahold of them Tuesday and we weren’t accepted into the program which I don’t understand how as our credit is great. They all just screwed us over. They have they’re money and they don’t care anymore. Still haven’t heard back about the tire pressure or the smell of smoke. More
I purchased a 2020 Dodge Challenger Wide Body Scat Pack with a Shaker hood from this dealership for $48,000 dollars. This car happened to be the sales manager’s car that he traded in. Less than a week late with a Shaker hood from this dealership for $48,000 dollars. This car happened to be the sales manager’s car that he traded in. Less than a week later, the widebody fender flew off on the highway. 3 days later, the second one flew off. The remaining 2 are about to come off. They keep telling me to take it to a Dodge Dealer because it is covered under the warranty. I have and it is not covered under the warranty. Then they told me that since I bought it As-Is with only 30,000 miles on it that it is my responsibility. Beware! Don’t do business with this dealer, very poor customer service! I find it very strange that a week later that parts start falling off my car! More
Bait and switch? I saw a vehicle on Honda certified that was supposed to be at this dealership. I drove there, and no one knew anything about the vehicle, so 'it mu I saw a vehicle on Honda certified that was supposed to be at this dealership. I drove there, and no one knew anything about the vehicle, so 'it must be a mistake'. I sent an email later to see if the vehicle was on the lot, thinking it might have been so new that it wasn't showing up on their inventory. I included the link in my message to make sure we were talking about the same car. The sales rep responded that "Yes, it is available to drive. When can you come?" I had a couple more exchanges with the salesperson, each time attaching the link to the EXACT vehicle I wanted to try. Each time I was told it was on the lot. I finally, in trying to MAKE SURE the vehicle was there, got a response that it had been sold, but I could see others (that were $10,000 more in price). The CarFax report included a stock number and the vin. It indicated that the vehicle had been obtained by this dealership some time ago and had been serviced very recently, with quite a few miles being added (approx 2000). I do not feel confident about dealing with Carey Paul after this experience. More

My wife and I felt that the sales team and management really took advantage of us today with dishonesty. In particular, sales team member Key Brown repeatedly told my wife she could get a car at a speci really took advantage of us today with dishonesty. In particular, sales team member Key Brown repeatedly told my wife she could get a car at a specific out-the-door price, that she had repeatedly got her manager's (Larry Bass) approval, but that we had to come in today to get the car at this price. My wife made the 1 hour drive on her off day from work and left our 10-month year old with me, and it was a classic bait-and-switch. Key said the actually price was $10,000 more than what she had previously said was the out the door cost. Shameful. When I called Larry Bass afterwards, he was unapologetic for wasting our time, unaccountable for his staffer's incompetence, and even tried to gaslight my wife's account of the situation even though we had it in text message. We would have been understanding if he had shown some grace for the situation, instead he was borderline rude and offered no way to rectify the situation. I would recommend to others not to use this place for a potential scam like we had, but if you must, i would avoid Key Brown and anyone else that is under Larry Bass's supervision . More
I had an awesome experience at Carey Paul Honda. I have purchased 3 new vehicles there because I love the professional and caring service of all of the staff. This time I brought a 2022 HR-V. I bought a 2021 Honda Civic Ex for 35,000 (online everyone else is at least 5,000 cheaper) three weeks ago and I didn't know how much front end damage the vehicle had when I purchased. The emblem in everyone else is at least 5,000 cheaper) three weeks ago and I didn't know how much front end damage the vehicle had when I purchased. The emblem in front was cracked in several places (I replaced with an aftermarket emblem) and it has several deep indentions on the hood and grill like the previous owner hit something. The car was sold to me with a clear Carfax and I was told by the salesman that the car was not involved in any accident. The front bumper slightly sags on one side and also one of the fog lights don't work. I'm very disappointed because of how much I paid for this vehicle that had only 2,500 miles on it when I bought it. I emailed the sales manager I will update if and when I get a response. The car internet price was 33 but change to 35 during negotiations. The car was way over price for the condition the car was in. The tint has bubbles and the fire wall under the car was damaged. Please really give these cars a thorough review before buying. I didn't because the car was just a year old and had under 2500 miles. This has been a nightmare. Update: The car I bought was involved in some type of accident. While I was trying to touch up the deep indentions on the hood, grill, and bumper with touch up paint I noticed that the bumper clear coat was cracked. It looks like shattered tempered glass the size of a baseball in one area of the bumper. The same side of the car where the fog light didn't work which indicates that the fog light bulb was blown from impact. Also the same side where the bumper slightly sags. There are other stratches in the clear coat in that area of the bumper I hope to buff out. I could have sworn it is against the law to sale some one a car that has been involved in an accident and not tell them. More
Update: a year later with my car and i’ve gotten a flat tire, current 7:51am, called the service team & after waited 12mins for someone to pickup the phone I was rudely told that they could not do anything tire, current 7:51am, called the service team & after waited 12mins for someone to pickup the phone I was rudely told that they could not do anything & that I would have to wait until 9am for the sales team to come in…. Now what the xxxx does the sales team have to do with my flat tire? My biggest mistake would be purchasing this vehicle.. it was a used toyota 2019… should’ve known better & purchased from toyota right down the street.. save your money, the customer service here is trash. Shoutout to the service guy who answered and took a huge sigh on the phone when he initially picked up… i understand people have bad days but we need to know when & where to express that energy. Note: Dont sign up for extended warranty… especially if you have to be somewhere at 9am & the SALES TEAM does not arrive until 9am… imagine needing a service but the sales team needs to be present for it… xxx is this. Lucky i cant leave 0 stars. More
The people I worked with were nice enough, but it's old school tactics at this dealership. They were focused on payments instead of how much the car costs even when I told them I might not even finance i school tactics at this dealership. They were focused on payments instead of how much the car costs even when I told them I might not even finance it. There's an inventory shortage so I knew I wasn't getting much of a deal, but not only did I pay over MSRP, but they had $2k+ worth of add ons I didn't want they forced me to take. I was also told one interest rate when I was in the showroom and it was a full point higher when I went back to F&I. I had driven an hour to get the car I wanted so did the deal and just refinanced out of the crappy loan, but I sure wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that cared about how much they pay for the car they want.
