Sales person pushed my husband to buy maintenance plan and said it was 7 year/105k, but it turned out only 3 year/37.5k plan. We lost a lot of money on the plan. ****ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME / HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE**** On May 6, 2023, I contacted Carey Paul Honda about a Honda Civic they had advertised for sale. I spoke with "Isaiah". I explained to Is SERVICE**** On May 6, 2023, I contacted Carey Paul Honda about a Honda Civic they had advertised for sale. I spoke with "Isaiah". I explained to Isaiah that I wanted to come out and see the vehicle in person. I also explained that it would take me over an hour to drive to their location, so I needed confirmation that the vehicle was in stock and present on the lot. Isaiah checked, and told me that the vehicle was available, and would be there when I arrived. About 25 minutes into my drive, I received a call from "Shay" who stated that she was confirming that i was coming to see the Honda Civic so they could pull it around and have it ready when I arrived. I told Shay that I was about 30 minutes away. When I arrived at Carey Paul Honda, I went inside and was introduced to Isaiah. I was escorted to his desk, where i waited...and waited.. Finally, Isaiah returned and said, "I'm sorry, that car is not here. Its being used as a loaner car, and it"s been assigned to a customer..." What? WHAT? WHATTT? I was furious. I spoke with the manager on duty, "Larry" who told me that I could wait and they'd call the customer and have them return the car. WHAT??? After wasting my time, these guys actually thought I'd give them even more time?? WHY would you list a car for sale that is being actively used as a loner car? This makes no sense. I left the location. Minutes later while on my drive home, I received a call from another salesperson that said, "Hi, we are still waiting on you to arrive to see the Honda..." WHAT? I explained to him that I'd already been there and that I was not going to return. Shay was also on the line (they had me on speakerphone) and she continued to talk over me as I was trying to explain the situation. This was extremely frustrating and I threatened several times to end the call. Shay was adamant that they had 2 other vehicles that they wanted to show me and that the car I wanted was actually there. This was a total hot mess. Of course, I refused to return and ended the call. In conclusion, the people at Carey Paul Honda have absolutely no clue as to what they are doing. The customer service is at the level of what you'd expect from a hungry lion in the wild. These people wasted my time and did so with absolutely no regard. This is a dealership, not a "buy here / pay here" lot. There is an expectation of a higher level of service when you go there. Not only did the staff at Carey Paul Honda miss the mark and waste time that I can never get back, but they added insult to injury when they called me after I'd left the dealership and I had to deal with a very unprofessional, rude, and unapologetic "Shay" who identified herself as a supervisor. Not only am I not buying a car from Carey Paul Honda, I'm never buying a Honda at all.. Let's see what Toyota has to offer... My advice to you: FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHO KNOWS HOW TO SELL CARS... Shout out to Sales Manager Jamal Wilson. I called when he was very busy and he took the time to help me and quickly address my needs. I wish more dealerships had professionals like Jamal. This is not where you want to buy a car from, this place is full of liars. I feel sorry for them because someone can get hurt the way they conduct business. I attempted to buy a car from this dealership tha is full of liars. I feel sorry for them because someone can get hurt the way they conduct business. I attempted to buy a car from this dealership that did not make it home before the lights came on the dash board, check engine and abs. Car went to service, and the return call I got back was no lights were ever on...Now they are acting like they don't want to give me back my down payment for a car I don't have and a contract I never signed More
So many red flags we ignored and I’m so angry with myself. We ended up buying a 2021 Honda Accord LX. When we test drove the car the tire pressure light was on. I was told it would be diagnosed and fi myself. We ended up buying a 2021 Honda Accord LX. When we test drove the car the tire pressure light was on. I was told it would be diagnosed and fixed. I assume they just put air in the tire because the very next day the tire pressure light came back on. I was told the car was a nonsmoker car and that was a fat lie. I turned the heat on the next day and had the smell of cigarettes blasted in my face. The car now smells like cigarettes. I understand this is a used car but when you pay $35,000 you expect a little more. Again I understand that’s my bad I shoulda taken my money and gone elsewhere and found a 2022 new car. They literally kept us there all day so they could pressure us in. We were there for 8 hours. Financing part came and we had our own loan through the bank. We were offered .99% through Honda. Again I know we shouldn’t have left without having that exact percent but we were there all day and freaking exhausted. He said he’d call us Monday. We called and heard no answer and was told I would receive a call back. Finally got ahold of them Tuesday and we weren’t accepted into the program which I don’t understand how as our credit is great. They all just screwed us over. They have they’re money and they don’t care anymore. Still haven’t heard back about the tire pressure or the smell of smoke. More
I purchased a 2020 Dodge Challenger Wide Body Scat Pack with a Shaker hood from this dealership for $48,000 dollars. This car happened to be the sales manager’s car that he traded in. Less than a week late with a Shaker hood from this dealership for $48,000 dollars. This car happened to be the sales manager’s car that he traded in. Less than a week later, the widebody fender flew off on the highway. 3 days later, the second one flew off. The remaining 2 are about to come off. They keep telling me to take it to a Dodge Dealer because it is covered under the warranty. I have and it is not covered under the warranty. Then they told me that since I bought it As-Is with only 30,000 miles on it that it is my responsibility. Beware! Don’t do business with this dealer, very poor customer service! I find it very strange that a week later that parts start falling off my car! More
Bait and switch? I saw a vehicle on Honda certified that was supposed to be at this dealership. I drove there, and no one knew anything about the vehicle, so 'it mu I saw a vehicle on Honda certified that was supposed to be at this dealership. I drove there, and no one knew anything about the vehicle, so 'it must be a mistake'. I sent an email later to see if the vehicle was on the lot, thinking it might have been so new that it wasn't showing up on their inventory. I included the link in my message to make sure we were talking about the same car. The sales rep responded that "Yes, it is available to drive. When can you come?" I had a couple more exchanges with the salesperson, each time attaching the link to the EXACT vehicle I wanted to try. Each time I was told it was on the lot. I finally, in trying to MAKE SURE the vehicle was there, got a response that it had been sold, but I could see others (that were $10,000 more in price). The CarFax report included a stock number and the vin. It indicated that the vehicle had been obtained by this dealership some time ago and had been serviced very recently, with quite a few miles being added (approx 2000). I do not feel confident about dealing with Carey Paul after this experience. More
