David Wilder saved us from this insanity! He took care of us from the beginning text message, to financing with Dustin, and to the very end as we drove away in our GMC Yukon XL! So, I was looking for a new 4runner TRD Off Road Premium. If you know anything about these you know they’re extremely hard to find and buy at a reasonable price. Stopped into Stokes Toyota, expressed my inte If you know anything about these you know they’re extremely hard to find and buy at a reasonable price. Stopped into Stokes Toyota, expressed my interest and asked for a salesman who was knowledgeable in these SUVs. I couldn’t wait for a salesman so I left my contact info and was contacted by John Ventre the next day. Went in to see him and was impressed with his knowledge and expertise regarding the 4runner. John was up front about how difficult it might be to obtain one with the exact specs I wanted but, at the same time optimistic. He accepted my deposit and got to the work. He kept me informed on a regular basis and would let me know if similar vehicles were available with similar but not exact options. I patiently waited until he phoned me advising my order was accepted by Toyota. It took a couple of months but my Runner had come in. When I arrived at the dealership, my vehicle had been thoroughly detailed (not half donkey), and ready to go. They sold me this difficult to find, premium vehicle at invoice with no mark ups, which is also a rarity in this day and age. Shawn Richardson in finance closed the deal and made it a pleasure to sign on the line. He offered me a few discounts on minor additions which saved me a few dollars. I received a nice thank you video from John and a letter of appreciation from Stokes. Might be standard issue, but makes the customer feel like like they really appreciate your business. From beginning to end, it was the best buying experience I’ve had and I know they’ll take care of me in the future. As a side note, I used to take my old Toyota there for service, and that department is just as good. Thank you John, Shawn and Stokes! More
