At first, it looked like everything was ok but a month a I recently purchased a Toyota 4Runner I found using the internet from Stokes Brown Toyota. At first, it looked like everything was ok but a month after driving the vehicle, my check engine light, vcs light, vcs track light and other lights suddenly came on. After taking the car to a local GOOD dealer (Abercorn Toyota) I was informed that they had seen this car before and the lights were on and the catalytic converter had gone bad. The estimate for repair was anywhere from 1400-3000 dollars. They informed me that when this was seen before the lights were on and the original owner (or Stokes even) had reset the lights to make it appear nothing had happened. After learning this, I called Stokes and asked them to help me by fixing this problem. Even though I bought the car AS IS, it is my thought that since I can prove this is a preexisting condition they would help me out and make it right. After being told by the sales manager that they were unwilling to help me, I informed them that I would naturally write about this situation on web pages like this (this is my first stop). He started accusing me of blackmail and extortion but continued to take no steps to alleviate the situation. Suffice to say, I am very unhappy with service after the sale and if you can find another place to buy your vehicles, I would suggest you do so. More

Although Exellent Scale goes up to a 5, I give Alexis James a 10 because he went above and beyond the call of Duty! to get me the Toyota I wanted. He explained every safety feature and feature of my 2012 Toyota Camry. My Toyota had to be ordered because the dealership did not have the color that I wanted. It took a few days for my Camry to arrive and when I saw it for the first time!!! Oh my gosh, it was SWEET!!!!!! My Camry rides so smooth you can not even tell that it is on and running. I had a very great experience at Stokes-Brown Toyota of Beaufort. Archie Brown gave lots of information before I arrived at the Beaufort location. My overall experience was excellet while it was dealing with Andy and Shep. Jo was nice as long as he was putting together the numbers, but when it was over he basically ignored me. Everyone else was extremely nice. The down side to everything was that on the first day (Saturday) that we came in we were there for six hours waiting and on the following Monday I had to return for them to do some work on my car and I was there an additional eight hours. The paper work had to be redone and we ended up having to return the following day to redo the paperwork. This was a real problem because we live almost 45 miles away. On that Monday we got everything fixed with the deal and I was still waiting with no idea what was going on. Andy was very helpful trying to find out what was going on and Jo said he was working on trying to find out , but an hour and a half went by and he never spoke to me. Finally Andy went and got Shep and everything started moving then. Within an hour of Shep coming to me I was on my way home. I give a big thanks to Andy and Shep not Jo. Shep gave Andy the ok to go get us five gallons of gas (Jo was not happy about this and berated Andy for taking us to the gas station)on that Tuesday before we left and I was grateful even though my husband was not happy in the least. He thinks that they should have at least filled it up to make up for all the trouble we went through. He still thinks this should be done before he recommends anyone to this dealership as a showing of good faith. More
