This dealership really made our car buying experience much more pleasurable than we thought possible. We first emailed a couple of dealerships online to get the best prices, and Stohlman was by far the much more pleasurable than we thought possible. We received a quick reply from Rajaan, who was quick and thorough with his responses to us throughout the process. We decided one morning to go look at the car and drove over 1.5 hours to this dealership. Rajaan had the car we were looking for outside waiting for us to see and test drive. After looking around, we decided to go with the car in the showroom. Any questions we had, Rajaan or Gus knew the answers to (down to the tenth of an inch of ground clearance...things like that). We had our own financing, but got a much better rate through Subaru. We finished the process with Sharon who was very knowledgeable with the paperwork and title transfer. Also, we traded in a Ford F150, and we were extremely pleased with the amount they gave us on the trade in. Overall, we honestly could not have been happier with our car and our car buying experience. We HIGHLY recommend this dealership and will send anyone looking for a Subaru to their location. More
In December 2011 I bought a 2012 Outback 3.6 which is a great car. In November 2010 I bought a 2011 Legacy 3.6 which is a great car too. Mark Doyle was the salesman for both purchases. I obtained financing, purchased the car, and headed home with an overall favorable impression of the dealership. What really took my experience with Stohlman to the next level happened the next day. The following morning, Terry called to inform me that another bank (which was closed when the financing application was submitted) had provided a better loan offer. I headed back to the dealership, signed a new contract, and wound up with an interest rate 4 points below what I had originally agreed to. The deal was already done, and Stohlman was under no obligation to follow up further, but they went the extra mile to ensure that I received the best deal possible. Highly recommended. More
This was the best car buying experience I ever had! I had been trying to purchase a car for a few weeks and had a horrible experience with one dealership who ran a bait and switch scam on my husband and I. After that, I was exhausted with the whole car-dealership thing. Finally, I found a toyota prius for a good price. The car ran great and was everything we hoped it would be. The sales staff was polite and very personable. Also, Terry, the manager, was so nice and worked with me to have the "out the door" price stay in my price range. When I ever need a car again, I will definitely come back here! More

I decided to travel from my Martinsburg, WV location (about 1 1/2 hours) to look at the vehicle we discussed. A couple days later I was able to drive into Herndon and test ride some cars. Mark was off that day so Gus Andrade assisted me. He was probably one of the most courteous and informative car dealers I had ever met. I had never driven a subaru and he reviewed all the aspects of the vehicle that I was interested in. He gave me honest and sincere answers and offered a couple of alternatives to meet my goals. He was to go on vacation the next day at noon so he gave me several ways to contact him to get questions answered. I made up my mind to purchase a used 2010 Forester. I drove back down and met Terry Davis and Sharon Kehne in closing the deal. Once again, honest and sincere responses and informative information was the order of the day. I feel I made one of the best informed decisions in purchasing a vehicle in my 62 years and got the best deal I could have possibly received. Sharon and Terry even found better financing than I had arranged! It came full circle as I got to meet Mark Doyle and close the deal with all of Sharon's papers. Closing went quickly and efficiently. This was a very enjoyable experience for me and I would recommend this dealership to anyone. More
Stohlman of Herndon was a wonderful dealership to work with. The car I originally wanted was sold before my bank could get my financing together. Instead of saying, "sorry, better luck next time", Raj and Terry invited me into the dealership to take a look at an online auction that was taking place that day. We took a look at what was available and found a car I wanted. Terry made the bids and was able to not only get me a car I wanted but it was also 1 year newer and had 10,000 fewer miles. The best part?! They agreed to sell the newer car to me at the same price they quoted me for the older car!! I challenge anyone to find service like that in any industry. In a time when cynicism about car dealerships is exceptionally high, Terry Davis and his used car sales team at Stohlman of Herndon went above and beyond this consumers expectations in making sure I got the vehicle I wanted and at an incredible deal! I'd recommend that team to anyone looking for an up front and honest deal for a used vehicle. Happy shopping! More

My family recently purchased a vehicle from Stohlman in Herndon. We wanted to research thoroughly before making a decision, so over the span of 3 or 4 months, we went to to the dealership several times to Herndon. We wanted to research thoroughly before making a decision, so over the span of 3 or 4 months, we went to to the dealership several times to test drive. Rajan was very patient each time and answered our questions thoughtfully, never pressuring us in the typical salesman fashion. In fact, the first time we went in was on a Sunday (they're open the last two Sundays of every month) and everyone was so laid back and casually dressed that it caught us very off-guard, particularly since we had just come from a high-pressure Ford dealership in our area. It was a nice change of pace, though, and I found myself looking forward to going back since Rajan and Gus made us feel so comfortable. When it came time to buy, Gus was straight to the point. He showed us the invoice sheet and that was that. I feel like we got a fair price with no tricks or schemes along the way. They offered a trade-in deal but when the appraisal came out lower than we expected, they didn't try to talk us into taking their offer; they freely acknowledged that if it was appraised higher elsewhere, we should take that offer instead. After we had the papers signed, Rajan walked us through the manual and even helped me sync my mobile phone with the Bluetooth in the new car. And his customer service efforts didn't stop after we made our purchase-- in the weeks following, Rajan has contacted us to ensure there were no problems with the car, called us to let us know when the license plates came in, and screwed them onto the car himself when we went to pick them up. In February 2010, I went here shopping for a new Subaru Forester, and came pretty close to buying one from them. Recently, I discovered that a couple days later this dealer sold a vehicle to another customer, and that their customers loan somehow has ended up on my credit report. I have no idea how this happened, but I'm not happy at all. Since the other customers name and address also appears on my credit report, I'm hoping this will be easy to resolve. The personal information that I provided to them while shopping for a vehicle should have been better cared for. 11/8/2011 Today I received a letter from Equifax stating that Subaru/Chase had provided information that caused Equifax to verify again that this dealers customers loan is assigned to my credit. This dealer offered to help me resolve this error as a result of my comments here. Now I'm thinking that I will have to obtain an attorney to get this problem resolved. Using my credit information to finance another customer's loan has to be illegal? More
