Joe is an unfriendly, disrespectful idiot. I went in there looking to fix my car and he pulled me away from one of the friendly helpful supervisors because they were busy helping someone else. Over the years, I have had unpleasant expiriences buying and leasing autos. I find the games that salesmen and sales managers play most distasteful. I purchased a Jetta recently from Paul Turk. I found h and leasing autos. I find the games that salesmen and sales managers play most distasteful. I purchased a Jetta recently from Paul Turk. I found him to be a knowledgable, honest, and intelligent fellow. It was a pleasure working with him. He was always responsive and candid. I am a satisfied customer who will visit again with Paul when my current BMW lease expires. Jack Smith is a service manager who my wife and I have dealt with for several years. I can't say enough good things about him. He uniformly explains in terms that we can understand what is wrong with our vehicle. He is unfailingly patient and pleasant. I can call or stop by with any question, and he will take the time to respond. I am in awe of his technical knowledge. Indeed, it is largely because of our very positive reaction to Jack that we decided to contact Paul when we wanted a new Jetta. These are two real professionals who are a credit to the dealership. i have met few folks employed in auto showrooms or service departments who compare to these gentlemen. More

I have owned 3 Subaru cars and my cars have been serviced at different Subaru dealers around the Northern Virginia area and this one is the best! On a Friday evening the sales floor was packed with buyers and they sell a lot of cars, this is not a small dealer, the service area is huge with several experienced technicians to do the work. More
Stohlman Subaru is a first class operation. We purchased 4 Subarus within trhe last 5-6 years from them and are planning to go back soon again to trade in one of our cars for a new one. The last car we purchase was an Impreza Outback Sport and Stohlman sales Associate Mr. Anson Lee was very helpful throughout the process. Honestly, very hard-working, professional, and pleasant -- not annoying. What a big difference a good sales person makes. Today, 4/26/2011, I took our Subaru Forester in for a reg/ular maintenance/service. Mr. Carlos Coreas saw me through from the beginning to the end with utmost competence and professionalism as he had done the last time I was there for a similar service. I highly recommend Stohlman's Subaru both for purchasing new cars (they have a large inventory and will get you what you want if they don't have it -- no kidding) and also for service and maintenance. If you're a Subaru owner, check them out, you won't regret it. More
Super quick service. Walked in and was immediately assisted in a friendly and paperwork was processed for the simple oil change. After being notified by a cell call came back to pickup the car and ev assisted in a friendly and paperwork was processed for the simple oil change. After being notified by a cell call came back to pickup the car and even though my Rep. was on the phone was instantly helped by another representative and had paid up and in my car in about five minutes. I have used this dealer for several years and the customer service in the service department has always been very good. Only downside is premium of cost being a dealer but that is not something that should be a surprise and for most smaller price services/repairs I do not mind paying a bit of a premium since the quality of work has been awesome (proximity to my work also helps). An example of a repair where I have not used this dealer was replacing the radiator which had started to leak. The price here was 2.5x the cost that I ended up paying at another reputable local garage in Vienna. More
I purchased my car from Scott in VW sales and I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and straightforward approach. Once we had picked out my new GTI we quickly agreed on price and the paper immediately impressed by his professionalism and straightforward approach. Once we had picked out my new GTI we quickly agreed on price and the paperwork was handled without any of the "games" I've run into at other stores. What really impressed me however was how I was treated about a week later when I felt the car needed an alignment check. I told this to Scott on a follow up call and he told me to bring it in as soon as was convenient. Jack Smith in service took the car in, had it checked and made a slight adjustment for me. Jack made me feel like my concern was important and got it squared away while I waited. No problems since and would highly recommend. More
I needed to find the manufacture date for my Subaru and didn't have easy access to my vehicle (it's in one country and I'm in another) so I filled out the Online Inquiry expecting to have to make a call an didn't have easy access to my vehicle (it's in one country and I'm in another) so I filled out the Online Inquiry expecting to have to make a call anyway. To my surprise, my query was answered in less than 30 minutes and it had the information I needed. Amazing and very prompt. It has saved me hours of time. Thanks! More
I bought my car used, a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer from this dealer. A month later one of the keys stopped working. I scheduled an appointment with the dealer, and in the meantime installed an aftermarket sub-w dealer. A month later one of the keys stopped working. I scheduled an appointment with the dealer, and in the meantime installed an aftermarket sub-woofer and amplifier in the vehicle. When I brought the vehicle in to have the key reprogrammed I was told they couldn't get the car to go into reprogramming mode, and that they needed more time with it. I said OK, I'll have to schedule another time. A few months went by and I didn't think much of it as one key still worked. I got fed up with the stock stereo's reception, and installed a new aftermarket head-unit. A few weeks later my wife started driving my car more often, and the annoyance of having just one key became apparent. So I took the car in again, and arranged to leave it there all day. About half-way through the day I get a call saying "We cant get it to go into programming mode, we told you we needed you to remove the stereo last time you were here or else we cant work on it." This was the first time they had said the stereo was the cause (It makes no sense to me as to why a key won't program due to a stereo). I tried to explain to them that the scar was stock when the key stopped working, and that the head unit want there the last time I brought it in, but I was interrupted repeatedly. I asked to setup a meeting with the factory service rep thinking I would get some relief from the rude dealership service manager. Boy was I wrong. After 3 weeks of waiting, I finally met with the factory service rep, the dealership shop manager, and the technician who couldn't get the car to program the key. Once again he tried, and once again the car wouldn't program. He also tried to program a new key, and that didn't work either. The tech pointed at the head-unti, and said "It's the xxxx stereo causing the issue", to which I responded "Really? Because that wasn't there the first time it came in." The tech responded "I'm not going to argue with you." I of course pushed the issue, asking "Was the stereo installed the first time I brought it in for this issue?", again the tech refused to answer by simply ignoring me. So I turn to the factory rep and say "See, he won't answer because he knows it wasn't." At that, the dealership shop manager told me "After your done talking with the Mitsubishi Rep, I want you to take your car, get off my property, and not come back. We will not work on your car any more." I was completely taken aback, to be told to leave because they couldn't fix the car and we lying about the issue. When I asked why I was being told to leave I was told it was "because you called my tech a liar." The rep, of course being buddy buddy with the manager told me I would need to have the entire stereo removed, the original put back in, and then take it to a shop 30 miles away. He also felt the need to add "And if that shop thinks the stereo could have caused damage to any part of the car, your warranty will be void and you will have to pay for the repairs yourself." So here I am, unable to get my car serviced without removing the stereo first, and even then, having to go to a shop 30 miles away, all because Stohlman Mitsubishi, and Mitsubishi in general, refuses to honor the warranty on the vehicles they sell. And if you call them out on their shady practices, you will be banned from the dealership... but I bet if I go in there and tell them I want to buy a new car, all of a sudden I will be a "valued customer" again.... or at least until that car breaks. The sales staff at the time of purchase were good, working as expediently as possible for a new car purchase. I take my car here for all my servicing needs. When I had a problem with the paint on my Jetta staining too easily from tiny drops of gas near the gas tank (it was the first year that specific shade white was mixed and used) the service director was extremely helpful in getting the small spots eliminated. The service staff typically remember me when I come in, including the service director, which is impressive. In my experience, the servicing has always run on time, and they typically finish earlier than the estimated time. The one time a small mistake was made (radio being put into the car hadn't been checked when mailed to Stohlman from the parts place), the VW service employee on duty (Bobby S.) kept me posted and was very apologetic about the delay and error, which actually wasn't even his dealership's fault. I would recommend this dealership to friends or family buying or servicing a Volkswagen. More
