Positive purchase experience! We bought a new Subaru Outback fully loaded from Christ LaPorte, and he was great. He was knowledgeable and appropriately aggressive as a salesman (the "good" aggressive...not over the top ridiculous, but he demonstrated that he was willing to work with us). Chris was also incredibly accommodating and took great care of us throughout the whole process. The only reason why I'm not giving Stohlman five stars is because the financing section (or whatever section handles the final paperwork with the license plates and stuff) took forever to see us to complete the legal stuff. We were there probably an extra 2.5 hours...we even left, got dinner, and came back because they were so backlogged. Beyond that, we love the car. The service team is great, and they handled the steering wheel recall situation as best as they could...poor team was getting verbally abused by people, and they still managed to maintain their professionalism and keep smiles on their faces. If you don't want to read my long review, here's a "sparknotes" version: Neils is a man of integrity and a genuinely great guy. One time meeting him and I promise you will feel the same way. He knows his stuff and absolutely changed my perspective of car salesman (I still don't trust them, but I now know there are some good ones out there!). I'll be a lifelong customer through him as long as he's in the business. I wouldn't normally go out of my way to write reviews and I've always had a belief that car salesmen can be shady and always trying to sneak in extra ways to increase the cost; Neils changed my belief. I thought I had a great deal from another dealership and confirmed with multiple other dealerships that the price was competitive. When Neils reached out to me he did not pressure me to change my mind but challenged me to receive the "out the door" price and educated me on all the ways certain dealers will hide fees. At this time he didn't even try and win my business but promised me if I went through him he would provide absolute transparency for cost and product. After receiving his "out the door" price and crosschecking it with other dealers, I knew he was giving me a great deal when no other dealership would come close to the price without being shady about additional fees may apply. He didn't have the exact car with the exact specifications that I requested so he personally drove to pick up the car for me himself to ensure I received it when I needed it by. When I went in to pick up the car, I was stuck in traffic and called 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close on a Sunday after he communicated many times this process would take approx 3 hours. I expected him to reschedule for later in the week but he told me not to worry and to come in. I felt awful about this and was fully ready to be rushed through the process. I didn't want to keep him late. While I was there I apologized many times and told him to do whatever he had to do to get me out of the door ASAP but he insisted on taking the time to show me EVERYTHING the car had to offer. I knew I liked the car but he showed me 100 new things I had no idea was included. I'd like to clarify again this is approximately 7pm on a Sunday when I know he has a family to go home to. I'd also like to clarify that NO OTHER DEALERSHIP (I spent about a month working with 6 dealerships for this car) spent even 10% of the time to show me everything the car had to offer. When all I had left to do was go meet with the accountant to sign the paperwork, Neils stuck around. I could tell he was exhausted from a long day but never once did he make me feel like he wanted to rush me through the process. He's followed up with me multiple times since I've had the car and even offers to have me come in to show me other things he's learned about the car. To conclude, I never take the time to write reviews but I feel compelled to do so here. I highly recommend you go through Neils when you're in the market for a new/used car. This time we bought a Subaru and the salesperson was Boris Alvarado. We did not even intend to buy a car that day. Still, Boris was very easy going (not high pressure) and helpful explaining the differences between different Subaru models. He allowed us the time to think about our options and with the help of the manager we arrived at a price that was acceptable to all. The financing department was also efficient and understood what we exactly wanted, again not high pressure. So overall, with the help of Boris, we had a pleasant shopping experience at Stohlman's and recommend this salesperson and the dealership. We do have a couple of questions/issues about the car that we would like to discuss with their service department so at this point we cannot comment about the response and quality of the service department. That will be in a future review! More

Carlos and Victor are my Service representative's who take care of my visits, they explain when I need something besides the oil change and provide me with the written report of results from battery to tires and other parts of the car.
