I would highly recommend requesting him the next time you are in the market for a Subaru. We started corresponding with Alan online. We had a particular car in mind and set up a test drive appointment. Alan had the car pulled into the first parking spot and was ready for us at our scheduled time. He accompanied us on the test drive and had a very specific route picked out so that we could test all the features of the car. Alan was very interested in making sure we were getting a car that fit our needs. We never felt pressured to buy from him, but after our test drive we WANTED to buy from him! We had already shopped around and had a completely different experience at another dealership (no one went on a test drive with us, we had to find our salesperson each time we took another vehicle out to drive, the salesperson seemed very disinterested in our business.) What I was most impressed with, was that Stohlman empowered Alan to negotiate with us directly; no hand-off to a sales manager. Alan was able to give us a fair price in about 2 minutes. It was incredibly refreshing to skip the haggling portion of the car buying process! In total from pulling onto the lot, to driving away in our new car, the entire experience was about 4 hours. Alan has followed up with us a few times to be sure we are happy. We most definitely are happy! Thank you, Alan!! More

Chris was very knowledgeable and straightforward - it made the experience go very smoothly and I never felt pressured and was very comfortable walking out with my brand new vehicle. Hugh Beasley in the finance department was also a pleasure to deal with and he got our paperwork together quickly and smoothly so we were out the door in no time. WORST EXPERIENCE!!! I have taken my vw on 3 time in 2 years for the same part. fisrt of all the last time I brought the vw in they went ahead and did the service without I have taken my vw on 3 time in 2 years for the same part. fisrt of all the last time I brought the vw in they went ahead and did the service without my ok. then they call me to tell me that the vw is ready. when I went in the service advisor explained that whoever installed the part damaged it. I proceeded to tell him they were the ones who installed it, now for a 3rd time. He told me to talk with Joe Lishman I repeatedly tried to contact him and I never received a returned call. I finally reached him and explained what I was told. He was very rude and denied that was what was wrong and told me he should have never worked on my car. Joe is a very unprofessional manager and extremely rude. If you want great service and a friendly helpful staff that won't cheat you of you money, DON'T GO TO STOHLMANS OF TYSONS!!! If you do and you have to deal with Joe, you will be treated horribly!!! More

Chris LaPorte at Stohlman gave outstanding costumer service. He located the vehicle I wanted within hours of us meeting and had it at their dealership in less than 24 hours. I appreciated his knowledge, expertise and his no pressure selling approach. It was easy doing business with Chris and the rest of the Stohlman team. The financing options I was presented with, which couldn't be matched, also greatly influenced my decision. I would definitely work with Chris and Stohlman again. More

Jim found a car for me, then researched shipping companies to get the car to me to coincide with the move. The dealership can also register it in the new state. He was great on the demo ride explaining everything to me. There was no pressure and they were right up front with the costs. More
