In my weeks of car shopping, I had grown weary and wary When my wife and I walked into Stohlman Subaru yesterday (May 20th) we were met by Alan Soon. In my weeks of car shopping, I had grown weary and wary of high pressure sales people. Alanna's learned to get his point across without portraying the prototypical “car salesman.” I went beyond the stereotypical buyer personification by peppering Alan with many questions as well as spilling the hot cup of coffee he had provided me all over his desk. Alan maintained his cool and calm demeanor (along with his prowess with a mop) explaining to us not only the virtues of the Subaru, but that perhaps it might be worth waiting a few months until my current Toyota lease expired before a bought a new car. We did not leave Stohlman with a new Subaru yesterday, but we will be back to the dealership, and Alan Soon, in a few months to make that purchase. Thank you Alan Soon. He didn't play around with the numbers and make promises he couldn't keep. He was honest and up front and worked to help me get the car I wanted at the price I wanted. I have already referred two people specifically to Mahmoud because it was such refreshing and easy car buying experience. FWIW, I flew in from 500 miles away to buy a car from him because he got me the best price, and was such a good person to work with. I have bought a lot of cars, and this was the best experience I have had at a dealership. Hesham in finance was also refreshingly straight forward and easy to work with. There were no tricks or last second changes or charges. It was an honest process the whole way through, which I cannot say about some of their nearby competition. The Stohlman team is very, very good overall, everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful and not the least bit pushy, but Mahmoud is in a class by himself. He gets an A+ from this buyer. More

Like Shopping with Your Son My wife and I just purchased a 2017 Subaru Outback. With a new (9 month old) grandson, we decided it was time to pasture the 2007 Saturn Aura. Afte My wife and I just purchased a 2017 Subaru Outback. With a new (9 month old) grandson, we decided it was time to pasture the 2007 Saturn Aura. After a lot of research, we settled on the Outback and went the Internet sales route. Eli Mel, our sales rep, contacted us immediately, wanting to know what we wanted and informing us that he would provide any information we needed -- typical sales technique, of course. What I liked was the zero pressure. It was like stepping back in time to Saturn. He respected my research and the fact that this was not the first car I ever purchased. Eli provided good solid information on the vehicles available, what we could order, and what accessories could be installed. If he did not know the answer, he candidly let us know that, researched the question, and generally had an answer within 24 hours. Eli has a delightful, youthful sense of humor. When I brought my wife in, he spent a lot of time with her showing her all the features and understanding when he was overwhelming her. My wife said that working with Eli was like having your son show you around. Since the sale, Eli has continued to follow up to ensure we are happy. The reality is that with Internet sales, there isn't a lot of difference in pricing (although I am happy with the price), but there is significant difference in customer service. That's why I no longer buy GM. I definitely recommend Stohlman of Tysons and get Eli Mel, if you can. More
