I rushed the sale (they didn't even have pictures up with the listing on th I recently purchased a certified pre-owned Subaru from Stohlman VW/Subaru. I rushed the sale (they didn't even have pictures up with the listing on their website) to try and secure the vehicle. A few things got missed as a result. BUT I am a big believer that it's not perfection that matters, but how mistakes are handled. I left the dealership with no plates (big whoops) but the sales rep replied to my text message right away, on his day off, and drove to my work ASAP to install the temporary plates. I paid cash for the car so I was worried that after I realized there was a small cosmetic crack in the bumper, which I failed to notice, that the dealership would have washed their hands of me - after all, the sale was made. This was not the case at all. The bumper was repaired, along with a reset on the automated trunk opening button, which was probably thrown off by my user error. I was not charged for any of the repairs, and was even given a loaner car while the work was performed. All of these things may have been avoided if I wasn't so rushed about the purchase. And all the issues were rectified within days. All things considered, I am very pleased with the experience, and would not hesitate to recommend Stohlman BECAUSE the staff wasn't afraid to admit that they made mistakes, and skipped straight to the part where solutions were in full swing. Amazing customer service throughout my contact. Well done! More

I fell in love with the Outback 3.6R Touring; I dropped in last minute on my way home from MD friday night and he was happy to let me test drive it before they closed. We worked numbers the next day and no one could beat the price that was given to me; no brainer I bought the car that day (Saturday) and was out the door within an hourish. Such a quick and easy transaction; extremely impressed and happy with the service that was provided and I highly recommend people to go to Chris when looking to buy a new Subaru. I already recommended him to a client at work who is interested in test driving an Outback themselves and gave them his card. I know he will take care of anyone I send over his way! In my weeks of car shopping, I had grown weary and wary of high pressure sales people. Alanna's learned to get his point across without portraying the prototypical “car salesman.” I went beyond the stereotypical buyer personification by peppering Alan with many questions as well as spilling the hot cup of coffee he had provided me all over his desk. Alan maintained his cool and calm demeanor (along with his prowess with a mop) explaining to us not only the virtues of the Subaru, but that perhaps it might be worth waiting a few months until my current Toyota lease expired before a bought a new car. We did not leave Stohlman with a new Subaru yesterday, but we will be back to the dealership, and Alan Soon, in a few months to make that purchase. Thank you Alan Soon. I have already referred two people specifically to Mahmoud because it was such refreshing and easy car buying experience. FWIW, I flew in from 500 miles away to buy a car from him because he got me the best price, and was such a good person to work with. I have bought a lot of cars, and this was the best experience I have had at a dealership. Hesham in finance was also refreshingly straight forward and easy to work with. There were no tricks or last second changes or charges. It was an honest process the whole way through, which I cannot say about some of their nearby competition. The Stohlman team is very, very good overall, everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful and not the least bit pushy, but Mahmoud is in a class by himself. He gets an A+ from this buyer. More
