These issues are in contrast to most experiences I have had with dealers over the years. I haven't had the vehicle long enough to assess their service department, but all indications from other customers while I was there, as well as looking into the maintenance bays, seemed to reflect that the service department will be very good as well. I highly recommend the dealership. I worked primarily with Joe Everett and Matt (don't know last name). I did not finance the purchase, so cannot offer any comments on that process. More
I spent time with Nermin leading up to the purchase and because Nermin was unavoidably away when we were trying to draw the purchase to a close, Paul at that time. Two very different personalities, both very knowledgable about their product and both displayed the most important traits in this kind of transaction: (i) they let their product sell itself and (ii) they took care to listen to the customer's questions and respond with meaningful information. Oh to be sure, they volunteered useful information, also and took the time to let our discussions run their course rather than watching the clock. You know, I wrote up above that pricing was "great," but of course that kind of survey question is plainly silly. The important attribute was that I left feeling fairly treated, even though it's obvious in this kind of transaction that their knowledge is superior to the customer's knowledge. More

The pricing and location were OK. Other than that, I was not impressed by anything else. Customer Service: After test driving, Anson sat me down and just stared at me waiting for me to talk. At this point he had to go get "approval" from his manager on the price. The price we agreed upon was rejected. Ok, I understand not everyone has final decision on the price, but many car dealerships I've been to give this power to all their salesmen. They should really disclose that whatever price you agree upon with them has to be approved by a manager. Throughout this, he was direspectful and was even standing up talking to me while I was sitting. Correspondence: I did some shopping around and found the same cars for better prices. I emailed this information to him. He completely ignored the places with better prices (except 1 place where he corrected me on something) and continued to say that they have better prices, which was obviously incorrect. They would not lower the price more. In fact, he then INCREASED the original price they offered. How would someone expect to get business by increasing the price after being shown that other dealers have better prices?! I'm not even joking about this... Refund: I had already put a $500 deposit to hold the car. I told Anson that I wont be buying the car because I found one that had more options and was still cheaper than their offer (which is completely true). He said he would refund me the same day. Almost a week went by and I had no refund on my credit card. I called them back and they told me it had been "overlooked" at which point they finally refunded me. More

After researching and emailing all of the dealerships that carried the new Outlander Sport, this dealership provided me the lowest and BEST possible price for the vehicle. When it was time to visit them and discuss the pricing for the vehicle, they stuck with the quote they gave me online. That surprised me as I expected dealers would usually quote low to bring in customers. They had the best quote and stuck with it. They really keep their word. The rest of the transaction and financing went smoothly. No pressure and no confusing jargons/sales talk. They were very professional. Straight-forward, hassle-free car buying. This is how I want it and this is where I will come back to buy my next vehicle. More
Lorenzo was great, that's all there is to it. He was helpful, patient, engaging, knowledgeable. He wasn't over the top pushy and was more than willing to accomodate my requests to go back and forth bet helpful, patient, engaging, knowledgeable. He even found a bow to put on the car so I could take a picture with my new baby. I appreciated the follow up phone call the next day (today) to see if I had any questions. Being in sales myself I appreciated his straight forward manner and refusal to play any "sales technique" games. I will recommend this dealership and Lorenzo in particular to anyone I know, and it was by far better than the experience I have had at two other area Volkwagen dealerships. My experience was so positive that I am more than willing to drive over 50 miles out of my way to continue my relationship with the staff at Tohlman Automotive. Great job to everyone; even the lady (and I feel horrible for not remembering her name) in finance was friendly, engaging and professional. More

When it was time to close the deal, the sales manager (Joel) was able to help secure the best value for my trade-in and even reduced the MSRP! Donald (the finance manager) carefully explained all of my options and made me feel empowered to make the best decision possible. Since my purchase, the salesperson has followed up a few times to ensure I am happy with my purchase. Well I am, and it's all to the excellent staff at Stohlman Automotive. Thanks guys! More
