This dealer is one of the best in Northern Virginia, They do everything right which includes putting plastic covers on the seats and provide a shuttle service. There was no haggling over price. There was no unexpected issues or costs. He was always pleasant and friendly and worked with me to get what I wanted and at a good price. Assistant Service Manager Julia Howard make a difficult situation easy. We had a significant repair issue with a formerly purchased VW, well out of normal warranty. She found a way to cover and fix the situation and found a way to get the car returned to us quickly. He went above and beyond his duties as a salesman. After showing me all the particulars on my new Tiquan, he programmed my navigation to get me home. I proceeded to bare off the scheduled route to go shopping, took wrong turns and was lost. It was after hours, I called Javan and he walked me through the settings and I arrived home safely. Go to this dealer if you live in the Northern Virginia area and ask to deal with Thomas Calvert. We had problems at another dealer and eventually were told they couldn't get us the car we wanted. Stohlman found the car we wanted and gave us the same price promised at the other dealer. Thomas was nice, responsive over email and phone, and made the car buying experience fun (something I believe is rare these days). Also, he didn't pretend to know something just to get a quick answer. If Thomas didn't know something he honestly said so, asked someone that did know, and got right back to us. I am normally a difficult customer to please so this was a nice change for me. Additionally, the financing office was quick to get us out knowing we needed to get our 6 month old daughter home soon. Yes we were told about the different extended warranty and service plans but when I kindly declined that was the end of it. We did deal with the service department a little as well and they were not as good as the sales department. The representative I dealt with was not the easiest person to deal with but they corrected our problem so I can't complain too much. Be warned that if they schedule an appointment that may only be to drop the car off and talk with a representative, they may not get to working on your car for a day. This was not made clear to me at first so I was a little surprised. Also, I had to complain a bit to get a loaner/rental car from them even though my car was only 4 days old and in for warranty work. I would think a loaner would be automatic in this case. More
