Joe Lishman has been taking care of me and my Volkswagens since 2004. He is an asset to VW! He is dedicated to the service of his customers and always does the right thing. Joe is an unfriendly, disrespectful idiot. I went in there looking to fix my car and he pulled me away from one of the friendly helpful supervisors because they were busy helping someone else. Lorenzo Sanchez was an awsome salesperson. He was very patient with us and did not try to sell us something that we didnt want. We came to Stohlman looking for a quality used car; Iman worked with us until we came up with the perfect vehicle - a 2004 Jeep Liberty. We received help with financing and we were on our way - the entire e worked with us until we came up with the perfect vehicle - a 2004 Jeep Liberty. Very nice dealership to work with. Salesman was low pressure and very knowledgeable on the cars he sells. They made the car buying decision easy by being upfront with everything and offering their car pressure and very knowledgeable on the cars he sells. They made the car buying decision easy by being upfront with everything and offering their cars at a great price with little to no haggling. I have bought a lot of new cars before and I would rate this as the best car buying experience I have had so far. We have quite a few VW dealerships in the DC area and I am glad I picked this one for my purchase. More
My husband and I had a very positive experience buying our new Subaru at Stohlman with Bob Murphy. He was knowledgeable about the car and the negotiating process for buying the car and trading in my old c our new Subaru at Stohlman with Bob Murphy. He was knowledgeable about the car and the negotiating process for buying the car and trading in my old car went very smoothly. We feel we got a very fair price for the car as well as the trade in. We had to wait several weeks for the car we ordered to come in, and Bob kept me updated each week with a phone call. More
Being forced to buy a car is never a pleasant experience. Although, you're never really prepared, it's nice to be "in the market" rather than be left car-less after a pretty heinous accident. I knew I wanted Although, you're never really prepared, it's nice to be "in the market" rather than be left car-less after a pretty heinous accident. I knew I wanted to replace my 2003 VW Jetta Wagon (RIP), with another one. Just as in 2003, Jetta Wagons are hard to come by in 2012. After researching VW Wagons online, Stohlman Automotive was the only local dealer to have what I wanted - a regular gas, VW Jetta wagon. Within 30 minutes of requesting more information online, Nermin Hadzihasanovic called to speak with me about my query. He was friendly, clear, and laid-back on the phone, I didn't feel pressured in the least. A short time later, he emailed me an "out the door" price quote, at my request; no gimmicks, no switches, no suprises. We scheduled an appointment to meet two days later. Upon meeting Nermin, it was clear he had no agenda beyond selling me the best car at the best price *IF* that is what I was prepared to do. Having purchased my previous VW at a competitor and it being a slightly, no totally, ridiculous buying "experience", Stohlman was a walk in the park. Nermin aside, there were plenty of sales staff to assist buyers, in a laid back atmosphere. A few hours prior to meeting with Nermin, I went to that other dealership whose name we shall not speak of (just to get an idea of what might be available), and was ignored for 25 minutes. Only when I was out the door and in my (rental)car, did a sales rep come chasing after me. Buh-bye, no thanks. Once at Stohlman, Nermin greeted me almost immediately, was out-going and instantly put me at ease (no "schtick"), completely knowlegeable, and in no rush to make a sale. Given my circumstances, I'd say he was even more ammenable to my situation and kept it uber-pressure free. From start to finish, I was in Stholman for no more than 2.5 hours (did I mention it took me 7 hours at the competitor's dealership the last time I bought a VW? NIGHTMARE!). Needless to say, I bought the car; the transaction was flawless. Yet, I never felt like I was "just another sale". I completely attribute my positive buying experience to Nermin Hadzihasanovic and the culture at Stohlman. PS: Nermin thinks it's funny when you call him "Dude". More
