We just bought a Tiguan from Erik and could not be happier! Erik was outstanding. We quickly knew we were in good hands and felt at ease working with him. Throughout the process, he was extremely r happier! Erik was outstanding. We quickly knew we were in good hands and felt at ease working with him. Throughout the process, he was extremely responsive to our needs and a real gem to work with. While were were awaiting delivery for our car, Erik checked in with us frequently just to touch base even when there were no real updates. We would definitely buy another car from Erik! More
I took my '07 Outback in for a 60k mile service yesterday. I also asked them to look at a vibration in the steering wheel I had noticed when driving at higher speeds. I don't have any major complai yesterday. I also asked them to look at a vibration in the steering wheel I had noticed when driving at higher speeds. I don't have any major complaints, but their customer service was rather sloppy and a bit disingenuous. First, I told the gentleman who scheduled the service that I wouldn't need the oil changed because I had just had that done. Apparently the message was not passed along, and they performed the completely unnecessary service anyway. Even if the message wasn't passed along, one would think that the perfectly clean, brand new, oil would be a clue. I had also told the scheduler that my check engine light was on because of a loose gas cap, something which had happened before and which I had zero concern about. But when the sales representative called me to tell me how the service was going, it was clear that this information was not relayed either, and he tried to make it sound like they had caught some big problem until I told him it had happened before and then he admitted that it was the gas cap. Next, the sales representative told me that the vibration in the steering wheel could be caused by the low quality tires on the car. The tires, however, are Yokohama Avid Envigor high performance grade, with quite a bit of life left on them. From then on, he had no credibility in my eyes and I tuned him out when he tried to sell me on a bunch of add-ons. I assume the service was fine; I'm not a mechanic, but everything seemed to be operating fine. But that probably has more to do with the quality of the car and the fact that I take fairly good care of it. I would just like more forthright dealings with sales representatives. I have had a customer service issue with this place before and the reason I took it back here is the convenience and price, but I'll now consider other places. AMENDED I promptly got a call from the representative and he apologized for the miscommunication between himself, the scheduler, and those performing the work. He offered a free oil change and honored a coupon I had forgotten about yesterday. Like I said, my complaints were not major and Stohlman's attentiveness to them was a pleasant surprise. More

My wife and I wanted to buy a 2012 Subaru Impreza or Legacy to replace the 99 Legacy. We had been in different local Subaru dealerships. I remembered the initial visit was on a Sunday and Bob had show Legacy to replace the 99 Legacy. We had been in different local Subaru dealerships. I remembered the initial visit was on a Sunday and Bob had showed us both Impreza 5-door and the Legacy. Of course, at that time we had listed out the items and optional packages that we wanted (such as moonroof, foglight, spoiler, all weather package, remote starters, etc). Mr. Murphy and his team was able to locate few of the vehicles for us; but since it was our searching stage, we decided not to buy it yet. Mr. Murphy and myself had agreed to come back to see more availability in the end of March. To my surprise, Mr. Murphy had called and reminded me that the car searching still on progress and some of the models are now available to look at. So my wife and I tried to go back on March but due to some unexpected family business; we had postponed the visit until April. Of course, the car was sold and due to the Subaru America, the order will not be taken after 3/30 (those special orders). Mr. Murphy and his team (one of his Manager, Richard) had looked around this region and found a very close one to us. With added the fog lights and some extra options, we finally got the car. Mr. Murphy did sold another Impreza to other customer on that date; but he still making sure he walked through how to use the Bluetooth, and other equipments on the car with us. The sales team (scott and joel) had initially help us to estimate the price for the car with the options of 36 to 48 months payment option. Joel did had the initial number when we first visited the dealership with the comparsion between the Impreza Preimum Spot vs. Legacy Preimum. Our target was adjusted back in April due to the family issue and have to change from a 36 to 60 months finance. Scott had finalized the paper work for us within 15 minutes which very professionally completed. BTW, we got the 2012 Legacy Preimum with Indigo Blue (that is my wife wanted), with all weather package, spoiler, splash guard, moon roof, foglights, door panel safety light, all weather mat. We are planning to add the remote starter in the later summer. More

I have bought a few cars from dealer and have always had bad experiences. This one was a great experience. Great sales person Bob Murphy willing togo the extra mile to find what I wanted when it seemed tobe bad experiences. This one was a great experience. Great sales person Bob Murphy willing togo the extra mile to find what I wanted when it seemed tobe impossible to find. Then going over the car to help me understand everything I am getting as well as finding the accessories I was looking for. Then when it came to financing Christina McCurry went above and beyond to put it together and make it all work within the perameters I had to work in so I could drive out that day in my new car. It was a totally satisfying experience and the most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had. Anybody I know looking for a new car will be sent there way. More

Abe has been a fantastic salesman for me. I have bought two cars from him in less than three months. First I upgraded to a 2012 GLI and he was very helpful in getting me the price I wanted and did not try two cars from him in less than three months. First I upgraded to a 2012 GLI and he was very helpful in getting me the price I wanted and did not try to push anything I did not want on me. After I had a couple months in my new car, my wife and I saw a blue 2012 Beetle in the parking lot. He let me take the car to my wife for an evening to drive. I did not have intentions to buy, but my wife loved it. He helped me find the trim of the car that I wanted and even though it was in West Virginia they had the car to me in 2 days. My wife and I could not be happier with our two brand new VW's, and we owe it to Abe and Stohlman Automotive for making the deals happen. More
2003 VW Beetle Convertible, experiencing the transmission problem associated with the valve body. I had read online about horror stories working with dealerships who wouldn't acknowledge the problem but Bobb problem associated with the valve body. I had read online about horror stories working with dealerships who wouldn't acknowledge the problem but Bobby at Stohlman told me it was covered and would be no problem. I also had the oil changed. Picked up the car, nice day so I go to put the windows down and GRIND GRIND GRIND the driver's side window doesn't go down. This model has a problem with the windows in the doors and I'm always gentle with it, apparently whoever was in my car while it was at the dealership was not. So I go back inside and explain. The manager Joe Lishman tells me there's no way they could have damaged the window regulator mechanism but that since this model has trouble he'd be willing to install it for free if I buy the part. Well, with this model if you open or close the door you're running the risk of damaging the window but fine, let's do that. Come back again to pick up the car, the window is not working properly. The one touch feature isn't working, and the window doesn't go up and down as you enter and exit the car (the anti-pinch feature for the convertible roof). Bobby says it looks like the switch so I have to come back a third time. Now Bobby tells me it's not the switch, it's the motor, and the problem is internal to the motor so they could not have caused it. The window was working fine before I brought it in the first time, the switch was working fine before the regulator was replaced, and now I've got a motor issue. Something new just happens to break every time I bring it back to get fixed for a problem caused by the dealership in the first place. Thanks for making my car worse. More
