Best purchasing experience in more than 20 years First, I would like to say that I am not the person who write reviews, positive or negative, but this dealership EARNED a positive review. I had pu First, I would like to say that I am not the person who write reviews, positive or negative, but this dealership EARNED a positive review. I had purchased many cars from various dealerships throughout Northern California over the past 20+ years (business and personal). This recent purchase of my 2020 Jeep Unlimited Rubicon from Stockton Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep & Ram (DCJR) has now restored my views/ feelings on purchasing a new vehicle. Before making this purchase at Stockton DCJR, I had "almost" finalized 3 deals at three different dealerships that ranged from El Dorado county to Fresno county including Sacramento's "largest DCJR" dealer (and yes, the sales reps brag about their status) in South Sacramento County (worst buying experience EVER by the way). While negotiating the deals, I had to walk away from them due to "bait and switch" tactics and just plain dishonesty... one situation became very ugly by the sales person himself! Very unprofessional. As a businessman and business owner myself, I understand very clearly the tactic used in business dealings and transactions, but I do not understand how this individual is still allowed to cash a paycheck from this Sacramento Area DCJR dealership. After these three failed attempts to purchase a vehicle that I researched thoroughly, had the funds secured, had trade in value knowledge of my car, even the options and color I wanted on my new purchase... this should be a simple transaction... right. Wrong, I felt frustrated and defeated. At this point, I much rather deal with the I.R.S. After my recent experiences with the other dealerships, I went back to the drawing board. I looked at other dealerships in the Northern California region, and I came across Stockton DCJR. They had the Jeep Rubicon in the color and options I was looking for and decided to stop in at 8:15am to look at it before continuing onto a business meeting in Stockton (I'm from Sacramento). To my surprise, I was greeted by the Internet Sales Manger, Michael Bayona. Keep in mind, the dealership does not open until 8:30am... I do not even know that he had the time to fire up his computer or even get a cup of coffee. Mike greeted me, I explained to what I was looking for and I came with the two stock numbers of the Jeeps I wanted to look at. I also explained in detail my three prior experiences with the three other DCJR dealerships. Mike did something that MOST other sales people (in all industries anymore) do not do... he actually listened to my wants, needs and frustrations and he accommodated them fully. I was impressed with his professionalism. Needless to say, the deal was made. I received the appropriate trade-in amount, received the exact Jeep I was looking for, and most important, the deal was straight forward... no running back and forth with the "numbers paper" and wasting all of our time. I want to thank Tammy Diller, Marc Guardado, Drew Mateo, and Michael Bayona for their professionalism and EXCELLENT service that I received throughout the whole process... I have found my go to dealer for CDJR vehicles. I can say that this was the best purchasing experience I had in more than 20 years... Make the drive... you will not regret it. More
