I have been a customer of this dealership for six years and have always received excellent service. My purchase of the Sonata Hybrid was my third new Hyundai vehicle, with two of those purchases being made and have always received excellent service. My purchase of the Sonata Hybrid was my third new Hyundai vehicle, with two of those purchases being made from Capitol Hyundai. While I actually went in for an oil change, I decided to purchase the Hybrid. Mike Cooper was excellent to work with in providing me with the value of my Azera and Danny Williams was sensitive to my "must haves" in the Hybrid. It was indeed a pleasure to work with both Ron Morrison and Tim Henderson in the negotiation process. They provided valuable information and were willing to consider my price offer. Also, Brian Thomas and Trenton Lewis were most helpful in the service department. I continue to find the staff at Captiol Hyundai to be professional and who want to ensure customer satisfaction at all levels of service. They are my "dealer of choice" in the Columbia area. Gen More
I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe from Capitol Hyundai and the experience was great. It was so great that when I was interested in purchasing another vehicle, a Genesis Coupe, that I had no hesitation about going to Capitol for this purchase. When I purchased my Santa Fe the overall experience was great. Ted, the salesman, was very helpful and knowledgeable and even gave us a step-by-stp walkthrough of our vehicle once all the paperwork was done. This is something that I had never had a salesman do with any of the new cars that I had purchased before. Ron was very understanding in that we wanted to think about the purchase overnight, so he let us drive the car home and told us to let them know the next day if we wnated to go ahead and run the loan. Overall I thought the entire purchase was professional and great. That is where it ended. About a year and a half later I decided that I wanted to get a sports car for myself and the Genesis Coupe was one that was pretty high on my list. Having had such a great experience with the purchase of my Santa Fe I thought I would go back to Capitol, man was that a mistake. First I had to pratically beg Ted, the same salesman I had worked with before, to get out of his chair and talk to me about the car. I couldn't get any other salesman to help me because they were too busy watching college football on tv and their computers. Then while everyone was yelling about the game and how slow the internet was the sales manager Ron went around closing peoples Internet explorer talking about how they were slowing down the internet. Once Ted realized that I wanted to purchase the most expensive Genesis Coupe on the lot he came alive a bit more. We took the car for a test drive and I was very interested. After the test drive he took me to his desk and pulled out a book and told me that he could give me the car for a great price, well below the sticker price. He told me not to say anything, but the price he told me was the lowest that they would take for the car. So I went home and talked to my wife and she told me to do what I wanted. When I went back to the dealership all of a sudden the price had jumped up by $6000.00, they offered me less than fair trade-in on my 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg, and then I got to meet with the other sales manager. As soon as I saw him I thought sleazy car dealer, like the guy in the movie True Lies. This guy tried to tell me that they offered my $1,500 less than fair trade-in because of a 2 inch scratch on the back of my car and because they would have to put new tires on the car. I had already checked on how much it would cost to fix the scratch at the body shop directly behind the dealership and they quoted my $350.00, so that left a lot of money for a set of tires. I left there and bought myself a 2008 VW R32 from Car Max. I now only take my Santa Fe back to Capitol for routine service because the service department is actually on top of their game. If you are looking to buy a Hyundai, go to Jim Hudson. More

I just had my car serviced for a squeek in the rear driver's side of the car. It took a few times dropping it off for them to find the issue but they were always friendly and happy to take a look. I had been researching the 2011 Sonata for a few months. During that time, I chose the exact colors and packages that I wanted the vehicle to include. I spotted the vehicle that I wanted to purchase online During that time, I chose the exact colors and packages that I wanted the vehicle to include. I spotted the vehicle that I wanted to purchase online in Capital Hyundai's inventory. I called to speak to the sales manager(Ron)to make sure this vehicle was still in his inventory before I drove the 60 miles to buy it. He informed me that he was not going to check and could not give me that information. He told me if it was on his lot and another customer wanted to buy it before I arrived, he would sell it to them instead. He was very unprofessional and treated me with no respect whatsoever. Thankfully, I found another identical vehicle in Hilton Head Hyundai's inventory. Hilton Head Hyundai treated me like a friend and I was very satisfied spending my money at their dealership. I didn't mind driving the 120 miles to that dealership and best of all was able to visit the island while I was there. Awesome experience at Hilton Head Hyundai! I HAVE NO IDEA WHY ANYONE WOULD BUY A CAR AT CAPITAL HYUNDAI...NOBODY DESERVES TO BE TREATED IN THAT MANNER! More

I visited this dealership and was so disgusted with the way I was treated I went and bought a Toyota Camry from Dick Dyer Toyota instead. They were rude and condescending from the start and had the nerve to insult me about my trade in. I wasted my time and will not be back. I think the owner must not realize his staff behaves the way they do. I love my new Camry! More
Was shopping for a car for my wife. She was not sure what she wanted. We test drove the SUV's Santa FE and Veracruz and neither one was what we were looking for. Then asked to drive a Sonata, and salesman c she wanted. We test drove the SUV's Santa FE and Veracruz and neither one was what we were looking for. Then asked to drive a Sonata, and salesman complained we could not drive every car on the lot. He took my wife and I went to discuss this with the sales manager, his response was it was hot out. On my wifes return I told them I would not buy a hubcap from them. Capitol Hyundai is the most unprofessional dealership I have ever encountered. Of note we went across town to Jim Hudson Hyundai and purchased a 2011 Sonata the same day. Experience with Jim Hudson was very good. More
I visited this dealership on June 6 2009 at around noon time and was looking for a potential car to look at. As soon I got to the dealership I was greeted by the manager named Mr. Ron and he advised me time and was looking for a potential car to look at. As soon I got to the dealership I was greeted by the manager named Mr. Ron and he advised me to talk to one of his young agents. To my surprise I found him being extremely rude. I went for a test drive and left the keys inside the car. When I was about to step out of the Dealer since I did not like the car, the jerk sales agent was yelling at me and was shouting at me as to where had i left the car keys. I was so offended at his behavior that I had turn back and complained it to his boss. Unfortunately no such measure was taken to please the customer. I would definitely recommend everyone to AVOID this dealership if you don't like to be treated badly and feel insulted. More
