He called me at 5:00 that evening and said the car was still there and when would I make it. I went there the next morning and the car was waiting out front with my name on it so we went through the process and needless to say I drove home in my new car. Warranty Voided In July 2015, I purchased a 2016 Elantra from Frank S. His lack of organization and professionalism should have caused me to leave then and there, bu In July 2015, I purchased a 2016 Elantra from Frank S. His lack of organization and professionalism should have caused me to leave then and there, but I was in need of a vehicle. I had thought that purchasing a car backed by "America's Best Warranty" would provide peace of mind. However, I was rudely told that my warranty was void only months after since Capitol refused to honor a service appointment. On October 24, 2015 I drove the vehicle 1.5 hours for a 10AM appointment. The service advisor openly ignored my arrival in the lane, so I had to park in the lot. Only then did he deign to write up the car, promising a price of $99.95 on his I-pad for the 3,750-mile oil change. When I asked how long it would be, he told me "You're looking at 2.5-3 hours--if we get to it." I asked him why an appointment made for an oil change wouldn't be honored, and he stared at me blankly. I told him that I would have to leave, and that's when he said the warranty would be voided. Frank, on the day of the purchase, echoed these same sentiments by insisting that if any service interval were missed, the warranty would be voided. I attempted to contact GM Mosely at the time, but he ignored my calls. Sonic Automotive Group could offer no explanation--only insisting that a GM has reached out to me numerous times. This is simply not the case. Now, I am in possession of what is a new vehicle whose warranty is void. I will never acquire another Hyundai product as long as I live, and I have told everyone I know in the state of SC to avoid this dealer. More
