Tim, My name is Elyce Hurd and I am the Guest Relations Manager at Stevinson Toyota East. The purpose of this is to convey to you our sincere apologies for any and all inconveniences you may have experienced with your desired purchase of a new Toyota Highlander Limited. We are all deeply regretful about your experience. As the situation has been explained to me, you chose our dealership over many competitors to find the vehicle you desired, and for that we thank you. It was also brought to my attention that the Highlander you desire is quite a rare breed. With that being said, the search options/odds become very difficult without special ordering a vehicle for you from the factory. I believe that Sean was so happy and excited to have found your vehicle he overlooked the mileage which was unspecified by the selling dealer, and he assumed the mileage to be low. While the mileage is within what is considered a new car in Colorado (below 1,500 miles Colorado Regulation 12-6-102.12), we understand the mileage was beyond your tolerance level and again we apologize. We regret that mileage was not discussed with you from the beginning. Additionally, the sales manager deeply regrets having any conversation with your wife regarding the vehicle. He called your home number to obtain your cell number and ended up discussing the situation with your wife. You deserved better and we let you down. We hope you will give us the opportunity to once again welcome you at the dealership and provide you with the positive Stevinson experience that you expect from us.
