Well it all started a week ago, I called to get my truck into the shop to fix my cruise control. I also got some other things taken care of while it was there. Well they tell me my cruise is working so the into the shop to fix my cruise control. I also got some other things taken care of while it was there. Well they tell me my cruise is working so the next day 20 minutes later it quits working again, so I call to get it back in the shop to get fixed what was already supposed to be fixed. They get me in a week later.. No big deal I know there busy. I take it in at 7:30 this morning I ask how long it will be since it should be pretty simple. Gary said it wouldn't be long and I would have it within a few hours. So I head home, about 2:30 I give Gary a call and check the progress he said there working on it and he will give me a call when they figure out whats the matter to get the go ahead to fix it. 5:00 rolls around so I give him another call since they close soon and I need my truck back. Says he paged them or something but hasn't heard anything from the mechanics. Gary tried to give me a bunch of excuses as to why it was taking forever to be done.. I really didn't care just get it done like its supposed to be. He calls back 15 minutes later (So 5:15) and tells me its the brake disengage switch and they had the part in stock and could fix it and it would be done in 30 minutes. I said that was fine ill be in there at 5:45. I go in and Gary's bringing my truck around so that was good. Said everything was fixed and working right. We go up to the counter and he slaps the $225 dollar bill down. Seems a bit high to me, so I ask what i'm paying for I see the bill days $42 worth of parts and the rest is labor. There's NO way labor should be $168 to do what they did. The mechanics note on the bills says he test drove it twice it threw a code that's what was replaced and now it works. They want 1 hour of labor and another half hour of diagnostic fee's. That's outrageous. I asked what the deal was and Gary acted like he was doing me a favor because Super Duty labor is 119 a hour and he charged me 109. Thanks Gary to the 10 bucks! Then he preceded to tell me that he had told me how much it was over the phone, and he didn't or i wouldn't have been in such shock when I got to the shop, he argued with me for a few minutes about that. Because he has a sticky note on his desk with $211 written on it. One that inst even the amount I was charged and two just because you wrote it down doesn't mean you told me over the phone. I was lucky to get a call from good ol' Gary today. He told me I was lucky to be getting my truck back by the end of the day. Lucky?! I'm Lucky? Do you think people have time for their trucks to sit at the shops for days with nothing to drive? I guess that's how things work in Gary's world. After he was done having a terrible attitude with me for acting questions he made it clear I had to pay to get my truck back. No kidding? I wasn't going to run out to it and take off. I just cant believe how much it cost to fix a simple problem and then after having to deal with Gary ill never be back again. Ill drive to Kingfisher or Stillwater if I need to take my truck to a ford dealership. I now know why Stevens has such a terrible reputation in Enid. More
I tried to purchase a new F250 from Stevens Ford and almost did until they tried to steal from me. Because I purchased a new vehicle from them a few years ago and got a great deal, thought i would try t almost did until they tried to steal from me. Because I purchased a new vehicle from them a few years ago and got a great deal, thought i would try them again but... Buyer beware! They started by telling me about these great rebates that didn't exist and then led me to believe they were going to start pricing at invoice and not sticker. This all turned out to be untrue! To make matters worse, they wanted to add back in what they were going to allow me for my trade. So, give them my vehicle and keep paying for it, while getting nothing off from the sticker. They never did disclose the interest rate they were working with even though I have fairly good credit. Seems they were too focused on being the stereotypical car salesmen. Brings a whole new meaning to the term sticker shock! More
