We were looking to compare several different used vehicles and Peter was very knowledgeable about the differences between them even though they weren't all Subaru's. We ended up purchasing a used Toyota Highlander they had on the lot which suited our needs very well. Peter was pleasant and helpful. One thing we weren't too happy with is that when we looked online the price was $1000.00 less than the price we were quoted at the dealership. Peter did negotiate a better price for us which we were satisfied with. More
In 2010 I purchased a new Forester. I was delighted with Steve Lewis Subaru then, friendly, accomodating and willing to listen to any concerns I had regarding my new Forester. They took care of me with respect and were not condescending when maybe my questions, requests or concerns seemed silly. Early Saturday morning in March 2012 I went to have my regular service done and began to think about trading in my 2010 Forester for a 2012 to keep up the value of the car and the money I invested into it. I loved my Forester so much, the thought of anything different did not appeal to me at all. I asked the gentleman at the service desk what time the salesmen arrived. I was glad to find out that they arrived so early on a Saturday and it would save me a trip during the week to speak to someone about trading it in. I wanted the exact same Forester, just a new model. John was very helpful to meet my needs and found what I wanted in Vermont!! I did my best to get a good deal, of course, and John and Mike were very nice and tried to meet my financial ideals. It took time, but I liked that, I did not feel rushed at all. The experience has been so good that the following Monday I sent my parents to Steve Lewis to speak to John Acadia. My dad is not well, he has cancer, and is not long for this world, he wants to make sure he gets a good dependable car for my mother so that it will be one less thing she has to worry about. They checked things out and plan on returning to buy a Subaru soon. I must add that the new facility is lovely and very comfortable. The location is a little further but totally worth the few miles! More
We located Steve Lewis Subaru in Hadley, plus two other dealers closer to our town, through BJ's Auto Buying service. We asked each to quote on an identical car. Dealings with both Joe Clark, the sales manager, and Todd Gerry, the salesman, were professional and forthright, and consistent with the quote given earlier. Todd's follow-up after the sale to resolve issues with a locally installed accessory was especially noteworthy. We anticipated that buying through Steve Lewis in Hadley would be worth the extra distance we would have to travel, and found that to be the case. More

I purchased my 2011 Subaru impreza wagon a little over a year ago when I really needed a vehicle to commute for work. The representatives at Steve Lewis were able to help me get into a brand new car at an a year ago when I really needed a vehicle to commute for work. The representatives at Steve Lewis were able to help me get into a brand new car at an affordable rate at that time. Although I liked the car I was always on the lookout for something a little more fun to drive I.e. the wrx model. Not having any serious plans to make a new purchase recently I stopped by their new location in hadley and saw that they had a slightly used wrx. It had the features I was looking for so I decided I might at least pop my head in and speak to a sales rep. With no intention on making a serious offer I found that the sales rep, Peter, had a laid back attitude and consultative approach that helped making the fantasy of a new car a reality. Because of Peter's patience and ability to listen to my needs I was able to make an educated decision and drive out in a wrx less than a week later at a price that worked for me. Could I possibly have resold my original impreza for more than the dealer was offering? Maybe, but because of the great customer service and patience I experienced I knew I could do business with them. This is the car I've always wanted. Thanks for making it a reality. More
I had been a Steve Lewis service customer 5 or so years ago and had always kept them on my list of dealerships I was willing to re-visit. Looking for a 2nd family car I was delighted to find my 2006 Volvo ago and had always kept them on my list of dealerships I was willing to re-visit. Looking for a 2nd family car I was delighted to find my 2006 Volvo V50 on their website for a very reasonable site. Upon visiting, my wife and I had an easy going no pressure experience. The Salesman %100 understood we were just looking for our back up family car and with 1 toddler and another newborn on the way we were going to stay our planned budget. (as silly as it is in 2012 you still can not believe when a sales person tries to upsell to something you are not shopping for. just a few months earlier when shopping for another vehicle we had a dreadful old fashioned experience at a no defunct VW dealership...needless to say we did not purchase from them) After a solid test drive we decided to run the numbers and gave them the exact numbers of what we were willing to spend. Our sales man did one trip to the finance department and returned with a better %rate then I had got pre-approved for as well as they matched our money/down/per month goals. so far the car seem great..no issues yet and I will continue to trust Steve Lewis and already have had my mind race of what pre-owned volvo or Outback I may purchase from them in a years to come. I live in Ohio and dealt with the internet sales manager Steve Gonsalves by email and telephone. Steve was extremely helpful and friendly during the entire process. I had the car inspected by AIM Mobile inspections at the dealership. I had planned to fly to Hartford, then drive the car back home. When I found out all the red tape required to first register the car in Massachusetts, we changed the plan and Steve shopped around for the best, most economical delivery service. The car was delivered to me in Ohio in a few days. It is in great condition, low miles, etc... and thus far, has exceeded my expectations- I love it! Steve Gonsalves was in contact with me just about every day through the process. There was absolutely no sales pressure- just friendly helpfulness. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a car. More
