We have been putting off the buying of a new car because of the "headache" of having to deal with car dealers! We are so very pleased to have found Steve and Justin. He answered all of our questions very promptly and was at our service during the entire weekend. He knew we had done the research, that we were informed about prices and he treated us with great respect and patience. Thank you Steve. Steve gave us a fair quote, we decided to make the trip to the dealer and drop off our old cars to be appraised. A Thursday night, we met Justin. He welcomed us into the dealership with a great smile and immediately found all the corresponding information from our conversations with Steve. Justin took care of us from this point. He showed us the car and even though it was late, he took us for a road test. He was also very patient and helped us get a good and fair deal for our old cars. Even though his supervisor/business manager was not willing to offer us the minimum we were ready to receive for our old cars, Justin called us back next morning and encouraged us to come back to talk and find a better deal for all. At the end Justin made everything work. The business manager agreed and we were happy. We bought a beautiful Black Obsidian Pearl 2012 Forester, paid a fair price and received a fair trade-in for our old cars. We are extremely grateful to both, Steve and Justin for making this process a wonderful experience. We would have never imagined that buying a new car could be an enjoyable experience. We will absolutely come back to Subaru for maintenance and to say HI to our friends ... even though we have a great family mechanic, and we'll have to explain that to him. More
We recently purchased a car at Steve Lewis Subaru. This is the first Forester but it is the third Subaru we have bought through this dealership. Justin demonstrated a great deal of knowledge about the Forester and he also was very interested in making sure he answered all of our questions. He was also very enthusiastic about his job and thorough in his orientation before we left the dealership. Shortly after we took the car home I realized there was a mechanical issue that I felt should have been addressed before the sale. Justin made an appointment with his service department and the problem was taken care of at the dealer's expense with no questions asked. We were particularly pleased with the way Justin and the dealership handled this situation. More

All sales people were patient, kind, and informative with my large list of questions. They provided answers and directed unknown answers to higher staff who could give an accurate answer. The car I wanted was on the boat from Japan, and Todd helped me get exactly what I wanted in the car. Once it arrived, Myron helped tremendously process the paperwork quickly (I had a tight schedule that week, but wanted my *new* car!). Todd and Gus were very helpful giving me "tour" of all the amazing features of the car when I had time to stop by the following week. Very helpful! More
Having made the tough decision to change dealerships ( poor customer service in both sales and service departments, I suddenly felt adrift without a lifeboat! After visiting The Car Store in Norwich VT and connecting with an attentive sales guy in Keene NH, I was still unsure. It was then my son shared that he and his wife had had a very positive experience with Steve Lewis Subaru in Hadley and "Oh by the way they have moved to a new location that might just work out great for you!" Once I had an opportunity to meet and speak with with David Hanks and Myron Callender, I immediately felt genuinely taken care of in all respects. I appreciated David's coaching, guidance, and patience as we worked together towards the purchase of my new car. He was always professional and demonstrated such willingness to make sure I understood everything! To balance out all of the seriousness, he had an easy manner and wonderful sense of humor. Once it was time to pick up my new car, Myron took me under his wing with a similar easy manner and good humor to take me through the paperwork potion of the purchase. Unbelievably easy, satisfying and yes, even fun! I highly recommend this dealership and only have one tip for newcomers: Should you get to the point of a test drive and the ice cream stand is open, offer to stop and treat.
