We were greeted as soon as we arrived, but did not feel pressured. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Showroom was clean, well lit, and nicely laid out. We worked primarily with Justin who was well informed about the cars we were interested in, but very willing to seek out others if he was unable to answer our questions. Our test drive of the vehicle allowed us to get a feel for the car under varying road conditions including highway, residential and unimproved roads with washboards and pot holes not unlike the areas where we would be driving the car. The fact that they encouraged us to take the vehicle on the unimproved road showed us Justin's and the dealership's confidence in the design & assembly of the vehicle. We were shown a variety of cars with the options we were interested in, but not pressured into buying off the lot, and ultimately were able to negotiate a price we were comfortable with. We liked being able to make an appointment to sit with Justin to spec out the vehicle / negotiate the price, as well as to pick up the car (allowed us to have his uninterrupted attention without waiting a long time). The vehicle we ultimately chose was not on the lot, but we were kept informed of the progress of shipment. While we did not go through Steve Lewis or Subaru for financing (although we were given the option without undue pressure), Myron was able to give us helpful information. Once the vehicle arrived Justin scheduled a convenient time for us to take delivery of the car Since he would not be available at that time, he introduced us to Peter and Kerry who would be going over the car with us. When we picked up the car Peter and Kerry took time to go over the features and options before we left the dealership. We have had our 2013 Subaru Outback Limited for 3 weeks and are loving it. More
I have been a Subaru man for 30 years and wouldn't buy anything else.I have never liked the process of buying a car. The pressure and antics of previous sales people always left me wanting never to do it anything else.I have never liked the process of buying a car. The pressure and antics of previous sales people always left me wanting never to do it again. But my experience buying my 2013 Outback has left me pleased. Justin listened to my concerns up front and respected what I wanted. He was very personable,friendly,honest and gained my trust very quickly. He made the whole process quick and simple. I will definately refer potential customers to him and have a couple interested now. Thank you Steve Lewis for employing him. More
Let's just say going from a truck to an outback... absolutely amazing. The ability to dominate all four seasons with all four tires. The outback has your back. My experience at Steve Lewiw Subaru was excellent. When I realized I was in need of a new vehicle I immediately thought of Pete as we've known each other for many years. I didn't know anything about Subaru realized I was in need of a new vehicle I immediately thought of Pete as we've known each other for many years. I didn't know anything about Subaru's but Pete was very informative and was able to find me exactly what I wanted. If you would have told me this morning, that I would almost cry while I was buying a used/pre-owned/factory certified Subaru, I would have laughed at you! However, I almost did cry. The reason is this, I had a Honda Fit.(hold on there is a story here!) Not a bad car but a bit whimpy, and certainly NOT a snow/bad winter weather car! I had purchased the Fit for my ex-fiance. She does a lot of commuting for work. When that ended, I ended up with the car. Winter is coming, and I had been thinking about a Subaru. I happened to see my landlords new Subaru, and the Steve Lewis tag bracket on it. I know he is a very hard man, frugal and most of all fair. I figured, well, these guys must be ok if he did business with them! I happen to know Justin from the dealership, but didn't even realize that he worked at Steve Smith. I just knew he sold cars. Anyway, I ran into Justin last night at a Diner, he gave me his card, I went to the dealership this morning and, in pretty short order, I was in a really nice 2011, OutBack! The reason I almost cried was due to the outstanding level of service and personal attention I received! Justin showed me a car, and then because of financing issues, he ended up showing me another. The real kicker is this...THE SECOND WAS BETTER THAN THE FIRST! Not in a bait and switch way, but in that I was able to save money and get MORE, NOT LESS! Yes the car had more miles, but in the long run...I didn't care! I was sitting at Justins' desk, for about 20 minutes, when a well spoken young man, Myron Callender (Finance Manager) came over and introduced himself. I have bought a few cars and motorcycles in my time, and because I am not too wealthy, I am used to getting jerked around a bit. This was not the case here. He took me into his office, went through the paperwork with me, we chatted and that was that! In fact, he and I both laughed about how some other dealers do business! In conclusion, and not just because I am friendly with the guy who sold me my car, I want you ALL to take note! If you don't come and check out Steve Lewis Subaru, and buy from somewhere else YOU WILL PROBABLY END UP CRYING! Thanks to you guys at Lewis's! Most Sincerely, David N. Goss More
I was looking at small SUV's to give me the room I needed with the fuel efficiency, which I found at Steve Lewis with my first Subaru Forester. The staff (especially Dave, Kerry and Myron) are knowledgeable with the fuel efficiency, which I found at Steve Lewis with my first Subaru Forester. The staff (especially Dave, Kerry and Myron) are knowledgeable and helpful, and made the process of buying a car easier. I got a good deal on my new (to me) 2009 Subaru Forester. They really take their time with each customer in terms of test drives and explaining all of the bells and whistles of the car. I even went back for some questions with my roof rack, which they happily showed me how to move them. What I really thought was nice that Dave actually checked in on me throughout and after the process. I love my Subaru and had a great buying experience at Steve Lewis! More
