When I first approached Steve Lewis Subaru, John Acadia really listened to my needs, answered all of my questions, showed me what I wanted and needed to see -- and then left me alone to be able to make my really listened to my needs, answered all of my questions, showed me what I wanted and needed to see -- and then left me alone to be able to make my decision without being hassled. I really appreciated that. I first met John and test drove in September but told him I was not ready to make a decision and would not need a new car until it snowed. He then waited until I contacted him again -- he did not pressure me in any way. That's one of the reasons that I decided to go with the Subaru. I'm very happy with my new Subaru Impreza hatchback and look forward to many years of fun driving. More
I was looking for a new, fun, sporty, all-wheel-drive car. I had two vehicles in mind: the Audi A4 and the Subaru WRX or STI. I told him what I was looking for and that I would not be making a purchasing decision for a couple months when a raise at work would come through. Jesse answered all of my questions, gave me tons of information and invited me to test drive the car, which I did. I was quite impressed with both the vehicle and the service I received. (It was clear he did not judge me based on the beat up minivan I drove into the parking lot with). A week later, I went to Fathers and Sons where they sell Audi's. I was not greeted until I hovered over the salesman's desk and even then, I received only a cursory greeting as the salesman looked up from whatever pressing paperwork he was working on. I explained what I was looking for and my timeframe. When I mentioned the competition, the salesman said "Why would you want to look at that? It's a tin can." (Exact quote). I was not shown any vehicle and I was encouraged to wait until January to take a test drive. As it had been a week since I had driven the Subaru, and really wanting to drive a car that day, I went back to Steve Lewis Subaru where Jesse very kindly assisted me further and invited me to drive the car a second time which I did. Somewhat to my surprise, a week later I was promoted from Data Manager to Director of Data Management and the raise I expected in January came through immediately and was even larger than I expected, enabling me to buy the car immediately. I toyed with the idea of going back to Fathers and Sons to drive the Audi which I had also heard very good things about, but I thought about the service I received and decided that's not the place I want to form a relationship with at this point. Besides, I had fallen in love with the WRX...having been allowed to drive it twice already. I called up Steve Lewis Subaru and made a deposit over the phone, then went down two days later to work out the deal. Every person I encountered was professional and friendly and I would not hesitate to recommend Steve Lewis Subaru and their staff to anyone. I am now the proud owner of a nifty new 2013 Subaru WRX. We had a very positive experience with Steve Lewis Subaru. Everyone was helpful, and friendly. Nobody pushed too hard, though there was certainly some negotiating involved. We appreciated two things about working with Gus Erskine. First, he really practices the "low-pressure" style of salesmanship. Gus was attentive, friendly and knowledgable but never leaned on us in any way that made us feel uncomfortable. Secondly, we were impressed with the amount of time he seemed to be willing to work with us after the sale in order to make sure we were comfortable with the operation of the car. It was nice not to be sent on our way as soon as the deal was done. More
I have been to a lot of different dealrships and delt with a lot of salesmen. Jesse by far was the best. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable about all the different cars we talked about. I told him exactly what i was looking for nd he matched me to the perfect car and he helped get to me to exact price i wanted to pay. He made this car buying experience the easiest purchase I have ever made. When it came to the financial part Myron was great. He was very helpful and informative. He exlained anything that I didnt know made me feel secure about buying a brand new car. My overall experience was amazing and I will be a long time customer because of the outstanding service Jesse and Myron provided me with. More
This is the second car I've purchased from Steve Lewis Subaru. Prior to purchasing this car, I shopped around quite a bit, and Steve Lewis was by far the best dealership I dealt with. My experience at this particular dealership was (for a lack of a better word in the English language)... ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! The first Subaru dealership I went to, when I started my vehicle search, was lack of a better word in the English language)... ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! The first Subaru dealership I went to, when I started my vehicle search, was NOT a good one. Although I was treated "correctly", I left that dealership (name of which I wish to hold... for now) my wanting to buy any car at all was demolished. I no longer wanted to by any car let alone a Subaru. Until... My boyfriend, on his own but with my permission, visited the Steve Lewis of Hadley Subaru. This dealership not only heard the "sob" experience/story I went through previously but were willing to actually work with us to get the vehicle I wanted/needed. Our sales man, Jesse Bilodeau, from the moment he was presented with my "case" never stop... caring! (Because that what he did, at least that’s what we perceived). My choice of vehicle wasn't exactly physically available at the time and I(we) had to wait for almost 6 weeks for my car to finally arrive (from Japan, btw). Jesse in the course of that time, never stopped following up with phone calls to just either inform me on the status of a ship he couldn't control anyways (LOL) but to simply touch base with me (and believe me, there were times that I wasn't really happy with the wait!). Once my vehicle did arrive, Jesse called me that VERY same moment and two days later, I was in the vehicle of my dreams. From never wanting to deal with any dealership ever again to ABSOLUTELY adoring every single person at the Steve Lewis of Hadley Subaru, I can definitely say that I will ALWAYS refer anyone there and I will DEFINATELY, no doubt about it, purchase ALL my future vehicles at this location! (Which won't be long because my boyfriend is due for a new one VERY soon!) More
Our experience with everyone at Steve Lewis Subaru was very pleasant. Peter from beginning to end was courteous, friendly, and honest. He answered all our questions and made us feel very comfortable with our first new car buying process. Two quick things: He laid out the options brochure, told us to pick out something if we wanted. No pressure. No telling us you have to get this or that. Just suggestions. Myron, the finance guy, showed us the computer screen as he worked on the agreement. Nothing hidden. Everything upfront. We certainly plan on doing business with these guys for a long time. More
I never felt pressured by anyone. Todd couldn't have been more patient with me; he answered all my questions. Since I live over an hour away and not in MA, I worried about how I'd it and get it registe been more patient with me; he answered all my questions. Since I live over an hour away and not in MA, I worried about how I'd it and get it registered once the car was purchased ... no problem -- they drove to CT, got it registered and brought it to me at work. The little cosmetic things I had noticed were fixed as promised. I will definitely go back when the time comes to buy another car. More
