I was thrilled by the experience of dealing with these two employees at Steve Lewis Subaru. John was very patient, while still educating me, throughout the car buying process. My wife and I had planned a used car try out day with several dealerships and cars on the list for test drives. I had scheduled a time with Holly on line. The car we were going to try out here had one very paticular feature that I was interested in trying( a CVT transmission), but it actually had more mileage on it than I was really interested in purchasing a car with(46K miles). Larry had showcased the vehicle very well, but I had to inform him that we really were interested in something with less mileage on it, and had several other dealerships to visit and other vehicles to try. Within the next few minutes, Larry had worked through to the root of what we were looking for, and what we were expecting to pay, and had us trying a brand new Subaru, with a CVT transmission, with AWD and BETTER gas mileage than any of the cars I had on my list to test drive that day. Though the payment terms were longer than the used car concept I had planned, being a NEW car...rates were better, warranties were better, expected service life for us was better, and the monthly payment was in the same ballpark. Other than the use of "Edmonds" for used car trade in pricing, it was a very satisfying experience. Myron did a great job explaining loan terms and warranty information, and we ended up ordering a car that day to pick up the following weekend. Then, the next day, we had realized that the base model car we had ordered was missing another key feature that we required...cruise control. This was our oversight, as we had not specified this, but had thought that we had seen it on the similar model we were shown before we ordered(tuned out to be the stereo controls on the steering wheel, not the cruise control). Once again, the staff was terrific in ironing out this issue. The dealership "upgraded" us from a base to a premium at a great discount for us, still keeping us in our budget. Thank you to all involved. If there service department is as good as the sale team here(which I expect...we were personally introduced to them at the time of vehicle pickup, and walked through there process!), we will definitely be back here for future purchases, and giving recomendations to friends. This dealership wants your business and so far is treating me right. They do not play dirty tricks on other dealers which I would have found distasteful, another dealer, after the fact offered me $20 treating me right. Didn't like the other subuaru dealer in the area so I drove a little farther and purchased a new car here. My experience with Steve Lewis Subaru has been extremely favorable. On my first visit, Gus was helpful, informative, and attentive to what I was looking for. On my second visit, Gus was off that day so I worked with Dave. The transition was seamless. From our first meeting through pickup, Dave provided answers to all of my questions, allowed as much time as I needed for test drives, and made sure everything was set up and demonstrated to my satisfaction before I drove the car off the lot. He followed up within 24 hours to see if I had any questions. Great sales team. More
I was apphensive going into the venture of purchasing a "new" USED car. I was looking for a car with low mileage, lower price, well maintained, and had a good after sale services. Even though I had tight price range Jesse Bilodeau did his best to match me up with a quality car that was in my limited price range. We settled on a 2006 Honda Civic. Now it was up to the men in the finance office to assist me in finding a bank to finance. They sent out seven different requests. And then sucess! From there is was clear sailing. They folks at Steve Lewis did the rest. Tags, title, insurance information, inspection and finally I drove away in my "new" USED car. I believe without their assistance this car search would be a nightmare. I am happy to say, that I have already reccommended Steve Lewis Subaru to several co-workers and family members. Todd was fantastic to work with. We had quotes from several local and one regional dealer, and Steve Lewis was happy to match them. We even showed up at the regional dealership and found out we had driven an hour and a half for a pure bait and switch - so we grumbled our way back to Hadley hoping that Todd and Steve Lewis would still match the price they gave us (which the other dealership didn't). They were happy to, even though the car wasn't in stock. As soon as we committed to the purchase, which was well below what we would have considered fair, they retreated to the manager's office and started making phone calls. We were warned it may take 3-5 weeks to find a base model in stock, but they managed to find one in a neighboring state and had it driven down within two days. There was no upselling, pressure or sketchy sales tactics - and we saw plenty of all of those during our fairly long search. We picked up the car today along with a coupon for a $1 oil change. Todd was friendly throughout, and very straight-forward - we couldn't recommend him, or Steve Lewis, more. More
