I have to say that we couldn't be happier with Dave or the dealership. I am NOT a young woman, and I have had a lot of experiences with new and used car dealerships - and I am sad to say most of them were not good experiences. Therefore, overall I do not trust them in general. Due to this, I did a lot of shopping before I decided to give Steve Lewis a shot after hearing their ads, and driving past a few times. I live quite a distance away, so it was a trip that was deliberate and planned. I was so pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone at this dealership. You do not get that "skeezy" feeling like they are just talking to you with dollar signs in their eyes. They talk to you as if you are their family or close friend, and also this sounds a bit cliche, you do get the feeling that they care about whether you have a good experience with them and your new car. I was not even sure I could afford a new car, but Dave made the application process easy and quick, and before i knew it I had been approved and had gotten a great rate quote as well. When I went to get the car there were no punches pulled, no surprises - everything was exactly as they said it would be. Although it is a drive for me, I will continue to visit the dealership to have the scheduled service on my new car, which I love. It's worth it to know my new baby is in hands that I trust and if there are any issues, I have someone I can talk to. I'm way to busy to have problems dealing with car issues. I know I will get taken care of at Steve Lewis as if I am a valued friend. That's very important to me. As I told everyone in the past about my negative experiences with the dealers I have gone to before, I will recommend Steve Lewis Subaru to everyone I know in the market for a car. They have been truly outstanding. More

John Acadia did a terrific job helping me make decisions about the car or SUV that would best suit my needs. John knows the road I have to commute on (Route 202, which runs the length of the Quabbin Reservoir), and he had a very good sense of how treacherous winter driving is due to the shaded road and low salt requirements in the watershed. John's style was much less about selling and much more about teaching. That was a big relief to me because this is the biggest financial commitment I've made in 20 years, and cars have changed radically since the last time I shopped for a new one. He understood the mechanics of the symmetrical all wheel drive, and that's what made the difference in my decision. My other choices were the Toyota Rav4 and the Honda CRV. John understood the Subaru very well, so he could demonstrate its superiority better. I never felt pressured. john also did a great job pulling together the details of the purchase, including my trade-in, and Registry and insurance details. Myron got a terrific rate for me to finance the Forester, and everything worked out quickly and efficiently. No drama. The Forester is wonderful to drive. If I ever have to replace it (although according to Consumer Reports it ought to out-live me), I'll go back to Steve Lewis Subaru. More

Exceptional Dealership & "NO PRESSURE" SALES I began my search for a new or used vehicle two years ago. I had a 17 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee that never gave me any serious problems but the gas mileage was terrible and it was time for a change. My first stop was at a Jeep Dealership. I test drove two vehicles, one new and one used. Neither vehicles had the pick up I would have expected for a two year old and a 2014 car. The estimated gas mileage was not impressive either. My second visit was at a Honda dealership. That was short. After several overly aggressive salesperson approached me, I left without ever test driving any cars. The third stop was a charm. I was approached by a Salesperson in the lot. I made it clear that I just wanted to view what they had in the lot. Once I had made a decision on what vehicles I wanted to test drive, I entered the dealership and Steve Rivers assisted me with the Forester & Outback. Still NO PRESSURE. I returned with my son a week later for his input and approval. We both agreed that the Outback was our choice. Steve was not available on this day but I was approached by Dave Hanks. The Outback I had test drove did not have power seats and a few other amenities I was looking for. Dave immediately made a suggestion on another Outback in the lot. I took it out for a test drive and decided this was the one for me. This was the best and most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. More

Before sitting down with Jesse Bilodeau to negotiate terms, I explained to him that I wanted a no-nonsense approach, that if he started to turn into a douchey car salesman, that I'd just get up and walk away. He made a joke and then when into the philosophies of the Steve Lewis sales team. 10 minutes later, he and I were driving the car down 116 and over the dirt laden Moody Bridge Road (Subaru couldn't have filmed a better commercial). An hour and a half later, Jesse gassed up the car while I filled out the necessary paperwork in Myron Callender's office. In all, I received a fair trade-in value for my car, got a decent interest rate, had a few dollars knocked off the sticker price and was able to drive the freshly cleaned Forester off the lot in less than 3 hours. The folks over there are good at what they do. And really, those are some guys and gals I could hang out with. More

Almost perfect, one large flaw For attentiveness, knowledge of product, willingness to work with a customer on his/her terms, and in many other ways, this is the best dealership I h For attentiveness, knowledge of product, willingness to work with a customer on his/her terms, and in many other ways, this is the best dealership I have dealt with in 45 years of purchasing automobiles. I requested to contact at home and that was honored. All questions were welcomed and competently answered. The product, of course, is nationally ranked. But one flaw kept this from being an optimal experience. The floor is in chaos and needs desperately a receptionist. I visited the dealership on five different occasions. Unless I had an appointment with someone I already knew, I simply had to wander around until I could corral someone and ask "How do I X?" or "Where is Y"? And if the appointment was with someone whom I had not already met, the same thing happened. Once, not knowing how things worked, and not being greeted by anyone, I went and sat in the waiting area, figuring someone would come and ask me what I wanted. Did not happen. I understand that company policy is that anyone walking through the door is supposed to be greeted by any employee that is free. It simply is not happening. The floor was so consistently busy that there were apparently no free personnel to greet me. On one memorable occasion I simply turned around and left. This almost cost you my sale. What saved it was that once I got to someone the service by each team member was as superb as the product. But allowing customers, especially first timers, to wander around trying to find someone to help them is totally unacceptable and, I would think, one of the first things learned in Business 101. Either make the system work or break down and hire a receptionist. More
