Great salesman, great car, great price Finding a manual transmission on something above a base model car is like looking for hen's teeth but I managed to locate one in perfect condition 3 h Finding a manual transmission on something above a base model car is like looking for hen's teeth but I managed to locate one in perfect condition 3 hours away at Steve Lewis Subaru. Called and spoke to Glen Reen in sales and told him I was interested in the car but it would take me a while to get there. Glen had the car washed, prepped and sitting out front when we arrived. I knew at first sight that the car had been well-cared for (all of the service on the car was done at this dealership). Glen set us up for a great test drive after showing all of the features of the car and we completed the deal within an hour. Throughout the process, Glen never pushed us to purchase extras but let us know what might interest us, all the while getting us water and giving us time to think things over in private. We are extremely happy to have had Glen as our salesman. He is very personable, easy to talk to and no hard sales pitch. Just honest appreciation for the customer's needs. He is 5 stars all the way. The dealership itself is very clean and comfortable and everyone is very friendly. Too bad these guys are 3 hours away. As compensation for the long trip, they are delivering the car to me today. Now that's service I can really appreciate. More

I had some negative experiences at other Subaru dealers; this was totally opposite. Steve Gonsalves, who initially responded to my email, left a very nice voice mail but didn't leave a zillion annoying phone messages unlike some other dealers, which I appreciated. More

Shane Sweeny in finance was clear, concise and humorous. Very rare for a finance guy. You will like him. Terra Hondrogen, Delivery Specialist simply sparkles with personality, helpfulness and knowledge. She is a rare combination of all the characteristics any employer would give his eye teeth for. As a retired VP of Sales and Marketing for an International Hardware/Software Integrator, I know a "special" person when I see one. I have been taking my car to Steve Lewis Subaru for service for the past 5 years, and they have proven over and over again how honest and trustworthy I have been taking my car to Steve Lewis Subaru for service for the past 5 years, and they have proven over and over again how honest and trustworthy they are and how competent they are at their job. The service team has always been very helpful and kind. I have also recently bought a new car from Steve Lewis Subaru and got to experience the sales part. It was amazing! Considering how little I know about cars, the sales associate (Glen Reen) has done an excellent job in helping me figure out the type of car I need, and then make it happen ever so easily and smoothly. They were also extremely helpful with arranging the financing, and did their best to get me a great rate! (Thanks so much, Larry Flakes!) I am also grateful to Benny Cruz for going over all the details of the car so kindly and patiently. I must have worked with quite many different people there over the past years, and, without an exception, everyone is very friendly, helpful and kind. Considering all my experience with Steve Lewis Subaru, including both service and sales, I cannot think of anything they could have done better. They are the best, and that is why even after moving to New Haven, I cared to drive 90 miles to get my car seviced there. Thank you for your excellent service! More

After our first experience working with Dave we have made sure to do all of our walk arounds, test drives, and purchases with him because of his straightforward approach and positive attitude. Needless to say we would highly recommend working with him. Dave knows these vehicles inside and out and gladly answers all your questions and concerns and provides honest advice. In addition to before and during the buying experience, he goes out of his way after the purchase to make sure you are content and takes a personal interest in your satisfaction. Financing: This was our second time working with Shayne. There is a subtle line between explaining the risks of not making sure you have proper warranty coverage and what could be considered "Scare tactics". After refusing additional warranty coverage we felt (politically correct way of saying he did) he overly aggressively tried to sell us additional warranty coverage by telling us how expensive XYZ repair was and that he has seen people with WRX's have hefty repair bills because of electronic issues they have had (which would give an uneducated buyer the impression their brand new car might be unreliable). We were not pleased with the extended coverage salesmenship this go-around. The intention of this review is simply to convey our experience and opinion, I am sure plenty of others have had positive experiences with Shayne as he is friendly and tries to lighten the atmosphere of dreary financial figures.
