This dealership can't be depended upon to THOROUGHLY inspect a used vehicle, esp with 100,000+ miles and multiple previous owners, before selling it to an elderly, disabled, fixed income woman......who inspect a used vehicle, esp with 100,000+ miles and multiple previous owners, before selling it to an elderly, disabled, fixed income woman......who was by herself LAST YEAR. NOW, THIS WOMAN.....ME.....WAS STUCK WITH A $600+ BILL FOR REAR BRAKES, ETC. YES, THE PREVIOUS OWNERS DID NOT GET THINGS CHECKED OUT OVER THE YEARS (2013-2023). BUT STERLING MCCALL CERTAINLY DID NOT HELP. THEY SHOULD HAVE SENT HIS CAR TO AUCTION. IT EVEN HAD BEEN DAMAGED!! I love the Service Dept. I have used them since 2017. More

Worst experience ever - and I'm naming names! My salesperson was Rigoberto Moreno. When I first called, I told Rigo that I wanted a silver Prius LE, and I gave him the specs. He said they didn't My salesperson was Rigoberto Moreno. When I first called, I told Rigo that I wanted a silver Prius LE, and I gave him the specs. He said they didn't have one in stock, but one was arriving. I didn't want any of the dealer add-ons (which is simply over-priced profit makers for them), but he said the customer has no say in that. They charge full sticker for these cars, because it's in high demand. I could not find another one around and the closest arrival was over a month away. I contacted Rigo again and asked if he had one on the lot with the black interior. He said Yes - so I had my daughter drive in from Austin so we could take a look at the interior. We just wanted to see if the black interior looked better than the light gray interior. When we arrived - he opened the door - the interior was LIGHT GRAY! We were so upset! She drove from Austin to see the light interior and he never even had it on the lot! Some sales people are complete liars! Anyway, I kept my cool. We went inside so he could show us the paperwork on the one that was arriving, and it looked to be what we wanted. I asked if they could NOT install the dealer (at the dealership) add-ons, since the car had not arrived yet. Again, he said they HAD to install them. In that case, I asked if I can have the front windows tinted a bit darker (darkest legal tint) instead of the light tint they install. He said, "Yes.. I can have it tinted the way you want". That being said, we put down a deposit to reserve the incoming car. I email Rigo to recap what we said and to remind him about the darker tint. He replied that he will remember. Two days prior to the car's arrival I emailed him to check on the status and remind him again about the front window tint. He confirmed everything was on schedule and he remembers the darker tint. Finally, when the car arrived, I reminded him again about the darker tint. You know where this is going... I arrived on Saturday - and the windows were the same light tint as the other cars. He said the way they do it - is as dark as they can do it. I told him that the tint was in no way what I wanted. He went inside to see what they could do. He returned with a guy names Machelle Muller (internet sales mgr). Mr. Muller said the tint was the darkest allowed by law. That was so incorrect! I told him that the front tint was not the darkest allowed, and that I reminded Rigo several times BEFORE the car arrived. He insisted that it was as dark as allowed. I offered to have our police patrol come by with a meter to show it was NOT the 25% allowed by law. He didn't take me up on that offer. He insisted that's the darkest they could do. I told him it was not what I wanted or was promised so I wanted a discount so I can have it removed and tinted correctly, since it was their mistake! He said he could not. I asked for a General manager. The GM was in a meeting (on a Saturday) and would be a while. I told him I'd wait ! After 20 minutes, Machelle came out with Brian Luvian (another Sales Mgr). I told him of the circus that I was going through with his employees and that it was ridiculous that I should go through this! I didn't have any trouble when we purchased our first Prius from them back in 2008. Mr. Luviano apologized for the trouble, and asked what he could do to make me happy. I told him that they should discount the car by at least $200 so I can have the front tint replaced. He agreed. Thank you Mr. Luviano! - And no thanks to Rigoberto Moreno or Machelle Muller! It's crazy that I had to go through two hours of wasted time with Rigo and Machelle - for $200! Mr. Luviano realized what was right! When you consider the $2K of factory add-ons (that I didn't want), and the $2K of dealer add-ons (that I was forced to take), along with the fact that they sold the car at full sticker - they made over $6K! I will never buy another car from Sterling McCall Toyota (9400 SW Freeway) ! More
