I was not notified when it was done, and when I went out to get it, it took another 10 minutes for it to show up. So I was there for 2.5 hours to get a routine oil change. The communication was poor at best today. More

Went to see about a bad 2 month battery at parts. Was told I had to deal with service for warranty. I went to service and was told if I did not purchased there I had to have a receipt, I told him th Was told I had to deal with service for warranty. I went to service and was told if I did not purchased there I had to have a receipt, I told him the battery was installed by service department at another dealer and shows in the system. Said he could not help. I called the selling dealer next day and says that it is ridiculous that they should honor it as it is in the system. I chat with Sterling again. They said they would get back with me and nothing. Selling dealer told me ask for the manager but I think I will just take my business elsewhere. I have been a Toyota owner since 1986 and have 3 now. I had an appt and waited 4. 5 hours (since I was early, I waited longer, but I'm not counting the wait time before my scheduled appt) to get state inspection, tire rotation, flui 5 hours (since I was early, I waited longer, but I'm not counting the wait time before my scheduled appt) to get state inspection, tire rotation, fluid check, and, as recommended later in the day, to renew brake fluid. Overall, there were several moments that didn't exactly scream "quality". To start with, my scheduled advisor wasn't there, which no one contacted me about. After I left, I found a full bottle of brake fluid on the passenger seat, which made me wonder if the mechanic even used it (to be fair, I checked under the hood later, the reservoirs appear to have been filled). There was no new windshield sticker as to when the next service is due, so that's an inconvenience for me. Also, one of the recommendations was made for an expensive service that I didn't need, because my almost new car hasn't reached the miles yet to get it done. The next morning, i. e. after the tire rotation, I got a low tire signal. I drove to Firestone, where they took care of the 4 tires (all were low), so evidently they weren't even checked for pressure at Toyota. Not a good experience. I know that these people mean well and for the most part they are courteous. But I also think that mechanics are tired and rushed (probably others are, too), which makes it a case of quantity at the expense of quality. Note that this is not the first time I spent an entire day at the dealership for something relatively simple. Why even bother making an appt. More
