I am a former Lexus employee. I have the Lexus mission statement embedded in my brain. I talked my husband into getting our first Lexus this year. A 2023 RX 500H F Sport. I sold my husband on the fact that Lexus treats every customer as a guest in their own home. We were not offered any water at Clear Lake Lexus. This day it was over 100 degrees with the heat index. We both asked and were told no twice. We scheduled early maintenance on our RX500 (at 8k miles) because there were two warranty concerns we had. (I worked in the service department at Lexus of Portland by the way, so I know what is covered under warranty). The service writer initially told us neither concern was covered. Before even looking at it. I was shocked because I recall going through a 6 week customer service training where we had to remember a script. Something to the effect of: There are several factors that determine whether a repair is covered under warranty… But this person didn’t say that. She just said: it’s probably not. I was immediately deflated because we had these concerns since the vehicle was purchased but we’re waiting until the first service. Upon completing the service, the service writer said they ordered the part for one concern. Then she gave me an over $800 estimate for the other one. Although we did not do this. I don’t know how it got there, but it was not by human error. Lastly, I have told my husband how our Lexus would be washed thoroughly when it was in for service. Well, it was washed. But there was dirt in the door frames, the windshield was still dirty and there were bugs on the grill. I don’t expect perfection. But I expect the Lexus I used to work at. At this point, I don’t know if I would recommend the Lexus brand again. I’m very disappointed. More

Patrick and staff have always been exceptional. Timely, accurate and friendly. Service has always kept our vehicles absent of “surprises” for last 20+ years.
