Worst sales experience in 24 years of buying new . Deceptive Sales and Financial practices.(Switch and Bate) I was contacted from Stephan Wade about trading my 2018 Ford F-350 4x4 Lariat in on a D . Deceptive Sales and Financial practices.(Switch and Bate) I was contacted from Stephan Wade about trading my 2018 Ford F-350 4x4 Lariat in on a Dodge Ram, I let them know that I had 11,000.00 in after market Equipment on the truck and that the payoff was 64,000.00, tat I had a Standing offer in Las Vegas for 59,000.00 and was not interested in taking a bath on the deal. So they talk me to drive to there dealership that was 125 miles away, So I got there about 7:00pm, I was meet by there salesman Scott Bowden, He took my Truck back to the Used car Manager for an price Quote. So after we test drive the new truck, So we went to sales desk and He ask me if I had any offers, I said yes, 59,000.00. So He came back to the desk with so kinda of deceptive offer of 1800.00 a month for a year than I could refinance after that, I said no, I have a payment of 1280.00 now, H said If I didn't sign that deal I would lose the 7000.00 rebate, I said no way. The second time back to the desk he tried me to sign 1300.00 a month, again no way they He ask me want kinda payment I wanted , I said 800.00 So He hand written a line and a( x) to sign it So I agreed to sign for an 800 a month payment, so H come back with a huge offer of a down payment, I said that I have a second car to trade in, The car is back in Las Vegas. So they tried to low ball, at 10,000.00, But I have a cash offer from Kelly Blue book/Automation for 12453.00, So they came back with a offer of 12000.00 So Scott again hand written the line with and (x) and I signed it. its about closing time were they closing and shutting the lights off, very hard to see. It ranged everything from customer servic In all honesty, I have not heard a lot of good things about the Stephen Wade dealerships here in St. George. It ranged everything from customer service to prices. That being said, I came into the dealership with some trepidations. I have had my old Challenger service several times at Stephen Wade Dodge and things have gone well and the prices have been a little higher but competitive for there area. I came in this time to a call that I received from the dealership about buying my 2009 Dodge Challenger. I was living in California when I bought it and I have always taken care of it extensively. Its been the best new car I have ever purchased. It is 11 years old with 115,000 miles on it. I did oil changes every 3k miles and tune ups every 20k miles. It has run flawlessly since day one. So when I came in to the dealership, I was not going to give my Challenger away on a trade in and if I was going to buy a new one, the deal would have to be what was best fo me. In working with Jared, there were a couple of hiccups but nothing that turned me away from potentially making a deal. After some negotiating back and forth, we reached a deal that I am very satisfied with and I am exciting about my new Challenger being delivered and continuing to enjoy having a Mopar Muscle care.
