You will also not find this review on their website due to they delete bad reviews. It did start decently with the dealership having a very nice looking 2017 GMC Sierra Truck with 62,000 miles. The price online was very reasonable which is what brought me in. During negotiating the price, I received a low-ball trade in value for my 2011 Tahoe loaded LTZ with 190K miles. It was however made up for by lowering the price of the 2017 GMC Sierra, however I originally balked at their $900 paperwork fee. As with most of their excuses it is state law and everyone must pay it. I made the deal with the exception that the dash control center must be changed from Spanish to English. This was made clear in an IOU signed with deal. Deal was not completed until 11:30 P.M. and I was to return the next day for a language update. I was told they could do it in parking lot. Pulled into service the next day to find no one knew what I was talking about and that they would have to replace the after-market radio that was in the truck with the factory radio. The factory radio was found in the back seat so it seemed like an easy trade out. After several hours of waiting I was told that it would not be done today and they would give me a loaner vehicle. I told them I had to leave the next day because my vacation time was up but could possibly stay another day if they would be able to fix the truck. Paid for another day at camp site. Called the next day to check status with no real news on status. Drove back to Fort Walton Beach from Gulf Shores (1:30 drive) to find that install house they were using could not install radio on that day. Truck was then taken to another install house to have them try the installation. I had to call at 5:00 that day to find that this installer could not install radio or change language either. Drove back up to Fort Walton Beach the next morning due to I could not stay another day and was given an IOU with promise they would ship me a new radio that I could have installed back at my home area in Kentucky. Picked truck up and hooked up camper from campsite and headed up to I65 with family now. After 30 minutes of driving on I65 truck starting shutting down saying that transmission was overheating. Inched my way to Alabama/Tennessee border only to have truck completely stall out in parking lot hill in the middle of no-where. Called Sales Manager who said if I could make it to a hotel he would see what he could do in the morning. Let truck cool down and found hotel 20 miles up the road. Called in the morning and he said he could not do anything because it was a Sunday (did not even have key to building which I don’t believe) but would do everything in his power on Monday. Drove another 40 miles before having to drop camper off at truck stop because truck was overheating. Even with camper removed truck continued to overheat with multiple stops until we could make it to Nashville. Rented a truck in Nashville and drove my family home to Kentucky. Went back and picked up camper and hauled to Nashville through mountains with no trouble with rental truck which was a 2020 Silverado. Slept 6 hours in Nashville hotel and called sales manager in the morning. The manager that said he would do everything in his power to help me on Monday did not have any answers of what to do with truck. I told him I had only owned truck for 4 days and wanted to return it due to dash in Spanish and overheating transmission. He would not meet me in Montgomery and insisted I must drive the overheating truck back to Fort Walton Beach. He hung up on me for no apparent reason. I took back rental truck and picked up limping truck driving 6:30 hours back to Fort Walton beach, stopping twice due to truck overheating, and this is babying the speed and only 1 passenger weight. Called sales manager on way to dealership and he was rude and complained I would be there at 6:10 and they closed at 7. Showed up and they said they would not return but I could trade for loss. Also would not negotiate price of used 2018 Silverado along with another $900 paper fee. At one point sales manager told me I would have to drive xxx truck back to Kentucky. I reluctantly made the deal. Terrible customer service, do not stand by there products, treat employees bad, and try to threaten you if they know you are in a bad situation. Absolutely worst dealership I have ever done business with. More
Buick GMC Cadillac Fort Walton Beach was AMAZING! Car buying can be pretty stressful, but BGC of Fort Walton Beach displayed excellent customer service throughout the entire process and a particular deal buying can be pretty stressful, but BGC of Fort Walton Beach displayed excellent customer service throughout the entire process and a particular dealer named Jason Burnett showed impeccable pride in getting us into our vehicle at the closest possible price to our offer. For two weeks straight he never gave up, constantly giving updates, answering tons of questions I had without any aggravation, and offering to help with anything else we may had needed. He is truly a dealer who cares more about the customer and it shows! So HUGE thank you to Jason Burnett, his sales team, and his sales managers for making this purchase happen! With a 5 out of 5 star rating from us, if you are looking to purchase a vehicle this is the place to check out, with all of there cars having to pass their 172 point inspection. I came from Mobile, if you have a particular vehicle you are wanting to check out it is well worth the drive. The whole atmosphere was great and they got our car all detailed during the buying process. They will definitely win our business in the future. Once again ask for Jason Burnett!! More
Known Issues prior to sale I purchased a 2016 GMC Canyon (the most expensive vehicle I have ever purchased) only to learn shortly afterwards there were transmission issues. The I purchased a 2016 GMC Canyon (the most expensive vehicle I have ever purchased) only to learn shortly afterwards there were transmission issues. These issues had been documented with GMC by many others and the dealer knew about these complaints but did not divulged that to me prior to sale. I took the truck in three times to get the transmission problems corrected but they were unable. Fort Walton Beach GMC stated that GMC did not have a fix but was working on it. I contacted GMC but they refused to do anything as Fort Walton Beach GMC did not report any issues with my transmission. (Carcomplaint.com shows many complaints). So, now I'm stuck with an expensive defective truck. Sadly, I won't buy another GMC nor will I ever do business with Fort Walton Beach GMC. More
