Gary was very helpful when it came to purchasing my new vehicle. I did want a yellow Jeep, but he convinced me a red one was just as cool. I’m not sure he’s right but I bought it anyway. I was given a diagnostic quote of $199 when I made an appointment for my Jeep.Per our scheduling conversation, I had the car bought to the shop a few days earlier in case they had a chance to work on it appointment for my Jeep.Per our scheduling conversation, I had the car bought to the shop a few days earlier in case they had a chance to work on it sooner than my scheduled appointment l.received a phone call the morning of my appointment asking me in a very nonchalant manner to authorize a $600 diagnostic charge. I was told by a service representative that “The technician asked to have extra hours charged for the diagnostic for what could be a tricky/complicated diagnostic/repair”. After trying to make sense of it by asking a few questions, one “explanation” I was given was that they may have to contact Chevrolet for diagnostic assistance.Finally, I asked had the car even been looked at yet at all to determine that this request for additional diagnostic fees were justified. I was told, “no it/my Jeep has not been looked at”.I was then told I was ‘free to pick up the vehicle’ if I so chose. I don’t enjoy writing a negative review so I will leave the reader to come to their own speculations about what felt like very shady customer service approach.The dealership had replaced my brakes previously so I went back this second time hoping to have the same positive experience.Needless to say, I picked up the vehicles and took it to a non Jeep dealership. They diagnosed and fixed the car in an afternoon replacing the faulty part (had to do with the battery connection) for approximately $250; including the diagnostic fee! The service was done with a clear explanation of what was wrong, respect for their customer, a thank you for your business, unsolicited follow up to make sure the vehicle was performing properly and a cherry on top complimentary wash and vac.Thank you Living the Dream Auto, Canton! SIDE NOTE: I am new to Jeep ownership but have unfortunately had some disappointing customer service interactions with two local Jeep dealerships.I looked to this dealership for repairs because the first dealership I went to previously had preformed thousands of dollars worth of work but shortly thereafter the vehicle was malfunctioning in the the same exact manner as it had been when I first took it in for repairs.When I reached out to them about it, they said it was unlikely the initial issue and left me with a “shoulder shrug” , hmm dont know what to tell you type of response. Most dealers would have blown me off because getting this deal done took real work. Some actually did but the Station team got the deal done and I am thrilled. Thank you! More
