Poor to no communication. We purchased a Grand Cherokee outright with no financing. There was a small amount of rust and a dent on the rear passenger door. It was agreed to be fixed and the car to be detailed prior to signing the deal. We are advised that service tells people 1 week for repairs but Omar, our sales rep, tells people two weeks to be on the safe side. We were fine with this. We purchased the car on a Saturday, 7/6, and the following Monday, 7/8, my insurance company was notified and bank wire was initiated. This was confirmed with Omar when he advised the car was in at the body shop. I received no communication regarding a status of the car until I called on Friday 7/19 to see if there would be any update on when the car would be ready. Omar seemed kind of panicked and advised his manager was calling over to the service department now and I would get a call back in 10 minutes. I did not receive a call back until 4 hours later. He Omar was working to contact my insurance company in order to register the car before the end of the day. Then he realized he couldn't due to the microsoft hacking issue. I told him I was fine with that and I understood that was out of his control. I am not sure why they didn't register the car prior as I was told the couldn't register the car until funds were received and they sat on registering the car for over a week. Monday, 7/22, arrives and I here from Omar. Great news, car is being cleaned and going through with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything is perfect. Get a call back. The headlight assembly will need to be replaced and the car will take another day. Ok, fine. Tuesday, 7/25 we come to pick up the car. The "cleaning/detailing" on the car was a joke. The rearview mirror, rear windshield and trunk windows were disgusting and looked like they had been wiped with a dirty towel. There was mud caked in the rubber molding on the driver's side door, dirty driver's side carpet, the old dirty change was still in the backseat from when we test drove the car and the a missing value stem cover on the tire. I wouldn't call that being thorough, especially not for what we paid for the car. The two cake toppers were, 1. the car was not inspected due to the registry/microsoft issue and no one made mention of it until we arrived at the dealership and 2. there is still a small dent in the door that was to be fixed. At this point we just wanted the car and to be done with this whole experience. We thought we were getting a good deal on the car but if I had it to do over again I would go somewhere else. More
