My sales guy was great and it was more relaxed, not high pressure sales type of dealership. It all went south with the financial department. Shelly Martin was the finance person I dealt with. She added a service contract and GAP coverage to my loan without asking if I wanted it. Then when I questioned her about it, she said that it was a requirement of the type of loan that I got. I was planning on refinancing so I asked if I would be able to cancel those later and she said yes. We’d been waiting over 4 hours after agreeing on a price for the car, so I signed the contract with the intention of cancelling after I refinanced. When I got home, I looked more closely at the documents and found clear wording that the service contract/GAP coverage were not a requirement to obtain financing. She outright lied to force me to purchase something I didn’t want. I contacted the dealership the next day to cancel those coverages and was given the paperwork to sign which the dealership faxed to Easy Care – I was told it would take 6 to 8 weeks. Eight weeks later the money still hasn’t been credited to my loan. I will never go back to this dealership. And I’ll think twice before purchasing another Nissan because I’ve seen similar stories from people buying from different Nissan dealerships. More

I choose a N It all started with a visit to this store and a conversation with Nick Dudaj who ran my credit and then showed me some options on models. I choose a Nissan Sentra SV. I went through the finance office and then came out to the car. The first indication of problems was that they never pushed in a fuse to take the car out of transport mode. This is something that should have been done before I ever saw the car when it came off the truck. I drove home and figured this out myself. The next issue came up about a week later when Nick called me and said there was a problem with the financing and I was to return the car. During this phone call he was rude and accused me of lying to him. The next morning I called and spoke to a manager and explained the situation and he said they would get back to me later in the day. At the end of the day I got a call from Larry Boley, the finance manager asking for more time to figure things out. He called the next day and said they had figured something out and could my wife and I come back and resign paperwork. When we got there he told us that the new lender was requiring more documentation, which it was to late in the day to get. I now have to return to the dealership for a fifth time to provide this. When I returned with the additional documentation, I had to wait from over an hour for the couple in front of me to finish up. Based on what I overheard, those people had been run through this ringer as well and were also resigning paperwork. Finally got everything done and thought that was the last of my problems from them. I was wrong. They did not send me the paperwork to go title the car until the 31st day. Missouri requires that you title a new car within 30 days or pay a penalty. I called and spoke with Larry Boley who was full of excuses about why this was my problem and not theirs. I had to get mean before he was able to connect me with someone who would actually agree to pay me back for the penalty. Avoid this dealership at all costs, they way they treat people is horrible and you will be making several trips out there to get the deal done. More

We had test driven the specific vehicle and had the VIN in our phone. It was also present on the price sheet that they had agreed to sell it to us for. We (my husband and I) signed several papers towards the purchase of the vehicle. As we were getting ready to get to the finance portion, the salesman switched out the VIN on the vehicle we were about to sign the agreement on. After we acknowledged the different VIN, he then stated that they had made a mistake and misquoted the price on the vehicle that we wanted to purchase. I pulled out the offer/negotiated price that they had given me. I showed that it was the same price listed online, minus our trade-in, with the correct VIN listed. He took it to a finance manager to clarify. The finance manager returned and told me that he had shredded the paper because it was wrong. They would not sell us the vehicle we wanted at the agreed upon price. He gave me an nonsensical reason as to why the numbers weren't right. I told him that it was correct, based on the internet price and our discussion with the manager, but he continued to argue. When I asked for copy of the offer print out, that I had just given to the salesman, he told me that he had already shredded it. I told him that it was a copy, so then asked for the original, but they told me that it had also already been shredded. This all happened within minutes of me handing over the price agreement. When I got home and checked the VIN that they had attempted to swap into our agreement, without our knowledge, I found that it was not only an inferior vehicle, but was not even the same color as the one we were trying to purchase. We had been there for hours, trying to purchase this vehicle and they tried to switch out the VIN and make us purchase a different vehicle, without our knowledge. Had I not had the last 4 numbers of the VIN memorized, we wouldn't have noticed and they would have succeeded in making us purchase a vehicle that we did not want. We did not purchase a vehicle because of what had happened, but I feel others need to know of their tactics. More
State Line Nissan Service Department When I had the oil change the service department cheked my brakes and found that I would soon be needing rear brakes. I needed to go out of town for When I had the oil change the service department cheked my brakes and found that I would soon be needing rear brakes. I needed to go out of town for a funeral and Jeff Johnson who is the service rep I work with assured me that the brakes would be safe for the trip but I would need to bring the car in when I got back as the brakes were in the yellow warning area not critical. Jeff was very professional and he always talks to me with respect and explains everything. He has never treated me as if I didin't understand about cars because I was a woman. I would recommend State Line Nissan Service department to anyone. More
THIS DEALER RATES A MINUS 10 !!! Two months of grief and even Nissan NA [with case#] could not get this dealership to address issues of sales misrepresentation of vehicle or repairing Two months of grief and even Nissan NA [with case#] could not get this dealership to address issues of sales misrepresentation of vehicle or repairing warrantied damage. Don't bother to document issues and send to manager, he will not respond! They have your money and could care less about you or your vehicle. They will all talk about how they NEED a 10 rating, as nothing less is acceptable, what you want or need is totally unimportant. Take your business to another car manufacturer as the Nissan Corporation even admits it cannot control dealer deception or service... sad really. All sunshine and misdirection until the papers are signed: want window guards - example: will quote price then more than double invoice because they didn't include installation in the quote [who wants to pay another $140 in labor to remove them???] ResistAll -$699.00 worthless - but will argue that the car must have this protection [paint chipping off within weeks]. Never a response... AVOID this dealership is the only advice. More
Horrible experience I got pre-approved the day before I went in. The sales rep Nick contacted me advised everything was done and I could bring my trade in. Me and my wife I got pre-approved the day before I went in. The sales rep Nick contacted me advised everything was done and I could bring my trade in. Me and my wife who is expecting wanted a larger car something with third row seating for the car seats. We chose this location because of their policy on less than desirable credit. We went up there the following day after already submitting all our information the night before, we sat there for 7 hours. In the end we did leave with the pathfinder we purchased and also bought a Nissan versa to get a lower payment to accommodate the larger payment we would be taking on. Now one month later we were notified the loan fell through and we needed to return the pathfinder. Leaving us a tiny Versa with three children to haul around two car seats. WE asked the dealership to at least let us return both cars for our original cars and they denied to return the versa, I Am assuming because the sales rep made a hefty commission on selling a new car vs used car. I have filed a BBB complaint and plan on posting complaints about this obvious bait and switch until somebody can help us. The new baby is coming and as it sits now we cant even take our new car to the park because our family wont fit... Horrible horrible people to deal with More
