I WENT INTO STAR TOYOTA ON A WHIM I HAD ALREADY BEEN TO 3 OTHER DEALERS IN MY BORO (BROOKLYN), THAT WERE UNABLE TO GET ME APPROVED ON A NEW CAR WITH A GOOD INTEREST RATE AND MONTHLY PAYMENT. I DECIDED TO TRY OTHER DEALERS IN MY BORO (BROOKLYN), THAT WERE UNABLE TO GET ME APPROVED ON A NEW CAR WITH A GOOD INTEREST RATE AND MONTHLY PAYMENT. I DECIDED TO TRY ON MORE SO I WENT TO STAR AND IT WAS THE BEST THING I EVER DID 2 HRS LATER I WAS LEAVING THEIR SHOWROOM WITH A BRAND NEW SCION TC. SCOTT WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE, MY SALESMEN JOSH INTRODUCED ME TO HIM WHEN I WAS DONE DECIDING WHAT CAR WAS PERFECT FOR ME (SCION TC). NOTHING IS BETTER THEN WALKING INTO A DEALERSHIP AND BEING TREATED LIKE YOUR A FAMOUS PERSON. JOSH WENT OVER EVERY END OF MY NEW CAR AND DIDNT LET ME LEAVE UNTIL I UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING. HE BROUGHT ME A SODA WHILE I WAS WAITING FOR THE FINAL PAPERWORK TO BE PRINTED. HE DIDNT RUN OFF AND TRY TO TAKE ANOTHER CUSTOMER DUE DO MY DEAL BEING IN THE BAG. HE GAVE ME HIS UNDIVIDED ATTENTION. I WILL RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO EVERYONE I KNOW. THANKYOU STAR TOYOTA FOR MY NEW CAR AND MY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. More
I went into Star Toyota looking for a Venza. I had been given a quote on a lease at another dealership, but wasn't too happy with the price, nor the dealings. The other dealer wasn't forthcoming with the given a quote on a lease at another dealership, but wasn't too happy with the price, nor the dealings. The other dealer wasn't forthcoming with the numbers, and was only focusing on payments. I spoke to Richard, who worked with me, agreed to my price, and showed me exactly what was being charged to me. He was friendly, patient and courteous. I was in there for literally 45 minutes and got a much better deal than the other dealership (where I was in for 3 hours). Richard told me to think about it, and also to shop it around if I thought I could do better. I felt comfortable with the dealer, so I went with Bayside. The car was ready, spoke to the finance manager who also gave me an option to buy the car outright, at a good price. I ended up taking the lease, but the purchase price option was also a good deal. This dealership is very friendly, and I felt comfortable and no pressure whatsoever. I would definitely be going back for more business! More
I found my experience at Star Toyota to be very pleasant. The sales representatives were very patient and informative and were eager to take the time to explain the vehicle and take me for a test drive prior The sales representatives were very patient and informative and were eager to take the time to explain the vehicle and take me for a test drive prior to my purchase of the car. I found Star Toyota to be a very nice dealership with an even nicer sales staff. I will definitely be doing business with them again. More
Where do I begin. I went to STAR Toyota in December 2008 to lease a car after the one I had just up and died. I was desperate and only had $1,000 to put down, so I decided to lease. As a woman I felt very to lease a car after the one I had just up and died. I was desperate and only had $1,000 to put down, so I decided to lease. As a woman I felt very intimidated, even though they kept trying to tell me that $399 a month was the best payment they could give me. Again, I was desperate and needed a car yesterday, so I regretfully signed figuring it was only 36 months. Then it all went down hill. In light of the recalls, 2 on my Camry, I tried to get information on my options. I was told to wait for a letter, so I did. Well, that letter never came, so I tried to contact my salesperson Gilbert Martin. Guess what, he never got back to me! Afte ontacting Toyota Financial services demanding to be let out of my lease, since noone could tell me when my car would be fixed, I finally got a phone call from Scott. I never had someone make me feel as I did during that phone call with Scott. He made it seem as if I shouldn't be so worried...actually telling me it was only 1 in 12,000 cars. Who cares, I don't need to be one of those 12,000!!! Are you kidding me i told him. I asked him when my car would be fixed and he told me to get a flashlight and go out to my car and look at the pedals then he would let me know if my pedals were recalled. Well, guess what Scott, if I wanted to be a mechanic I would have done so! He made me feel overdramatic and completely invalidated my feelings. I finally just showed up at the service dept. one day to make an appointment. They told me I would have to wait at least another 4-6 weeks, mind you I had already waited 6 weeks. All the while not driving my car! When I demanded to know why it would take so long, James told me it was because they were fixing the cars in the showroom for sale as well. So, I guess Toyota is just more concerned about making money off of faulty cars than fixing the ones that could potentially kill customers they already have driving them. Nice business ethics! Needless to say, I finally got the car serviced and now they are saying it may not even be the pedals that are the problem. My only choice, eat the nearly $7,000 left on my lease and get another car. So I went to Honda, where they were concerned, helpful, and didn't take advantage of me. Thanks for nothing STAR!! More
This is a poor toyota dealer. I went inside this dealer for 10 minutes, and no one helped me. Later a guy, named Kenny, he came to help us to buy a car. We were looking for a XLE Sienna with EVP#4, but K for 10 minutes, and no one helped me. Later a guy, named Kenny, he came to help us to buy a car. We were looking for a XLE Sienna with EVP#4, but Kenny told us that he only has one car. He only will sell it at his price, so I ask him how much. He told me around $37,000!!! I think that is a robbery for XLE. A limited AWD probabely will cost the same price with DVD/navigation system. We kindly walked out from this dealership. Star Toyota acts as they are the only star on Northen Blvd. We got exactly the same car but much cheaper in Queensboro Toyota! I will never buy from Stars again in my life. More
Star Toyota of Bayside was the only dealer that made me come back at least four times amongst six other dealers that I had horrible experience with. My parents and older sister had also purchased their new come back at least four times amongst six other dealers that I had horrible experience with. My parents and older sister had also purchased their new cars from this place. However, they had a different salesman named Alan. They had a wonderful experience with him and so they recommended this place for me. To be honest, I am clueless about cars. My main reason for getting a car is to get me to school and the hospitals (I'm a nursing student). I have been searching for my car for months. I have been unfortunate until this tuesday. I heard a lot of things about crooks and liars from car dealerships. I'm afraid to admit that I did meet several of them. I can name them all, but thats on another site. However, Star Toyota is an exception. On my first few encounters, Jason had helped me. He was a very patient salesman, but I did not feel very confident with his sales. We had difficulty trying to negotiate a price on a car. I guess because he was new, but I was convinced to buy a 2002 Nissan Altima. However, I changed my mind due to a myriad of lawsuit against nissan about some problems that this car can cost you later on. So, on my third or fourth visit, I was praying that I can get an exhange with another car. Then, I met Sean Hoque who I thought was another manager. He was very professional and friendly. I can never be thankful enough to have him helped me find the perfect car. The car I am driving now is a 2008 Toyota Corolla which I got for a VERY good price. It has 3k mileage! WOW! that's like a brand new car! Unlike other salesmen, Sean extended his customer service by ensuring that I met my needs and expectation. Like I said, I don't know much about cars. He definitely lowered my anxiety! Thank so much Sean! More
