I wasn’t sure if I’d find the car for me the day I went there but once I met Steve, I immediately learned about every option they had that met my preferences. He brought me through the trims and colors ava there but once I met Steve, I immediately learned about every option they had that met my preferences. He brought me through the trims and colors available. This made it easy to see which car was for me. Michael was also very nice when assisting on the different types of warranties I might need. Having Steve as my salesman was such a delight and really calmed my nerves. He was efficient, kind and on top of things every step of the way. Almost 2 months have passed since I sold my car. Still no prorated check from them regarding my 10 year warranty. Constantly been given the run-around. Here's the full story: I drove from Massach Still no prorated check from them regarding my 10 year warranty. Constantly been given the run-around. Here's the full story: I drove from Massachusetts and bought a brand new 2019 STI from Mike back in 2019. Fast forward to July of 2024, I sell the car to a dealer in Massachusetts and reach out to Star Subaru to get my 10 year warranty prorated since it's no longer useful for me. Mike says okay, email him the proper documentation and he'll prorate it. The sale goes through on July 18 and I reach out to Mike on July 19; receptionist says he's not working that day. I then reach out the following week, everyday of the week, and receptionist says he's on vacation and they don't know when he'll be back. I continue calling literally everyday until he returns my call on August 9. I then email him the proper documentation showing sales proof and payoff from the Bank, along with my new mailing address, all while stll on the call. He says okay, he'll get it taken care of. He calls me back the same day to give me the amount that I'll be receiving and confirms that the check will be sent out later that day once Accounting processes it. He says I'll receive it in a week, but I tell him conservatively, that I'll call him if I don't get it by the end of the month. Note that this call is still on August 9. A couple weeks go by and still nothing. It reaches September and I call him back on September 2, Labor Day. He tells the receptionist to tell me that the check was sent out that past Friday, August 30, and that they only get paid at the end of the month, and that I should receive it within a couple days. I told him to just cancel the check and send it to me electronically. He says his dealership doesn't do that. Mind you, it doesn't take a week for mail to get to Massachusetts from New York. We're only 4 hours away. And nowhere in his initial call did he mention that they get paid at the end of the month. He says to call back on September 6 if I don't get the check, then he'll overnight it to me. September 6 hits and still no check. I call back. Turns out he "sent" it to the wrong address. He sent it my original address that was on my warranty instead of sending it to my new address that was included in my intial email along with the supporting documents. He says he'll overnight it and that I should receive it by September 10. Again, it doesn't take up a week for mail to arrive to Massachusetts from New York, regardless if it's standard or overnighted. Today is September 13 and still no check. The person that sends out the checks is on vacation and he said he sent it out personally himself, which I have doubts about considering my experience with him. Definitely would not do business with again, and would advise everyone to steer clear from. More
