STAY AWAY!! If I could give them a 0 I would! After leaving at least 5 messages, I finally got through to my agent - WHO NEVER CALLED ME BACK, only to have him berate me on the phone and tell me that it's not his fault that I have terrible credit (really, mid 700's is terrible??). Have complained to their manager and to corporate. Hope everyone there is fired ASAP. HORRIBLE. More
I went out in search of a WRX at the end of April this year. Due to the earthquake in Japan and the fact that it was the end of the month, nobody had any WRXs in stock and most dealers were telling me I' year. Star managed to get a few WRXs in stock, and were super friendly when I called and visited. This was very different from many of the other LI dealerships I'd called who assumed you were a waste of time if you asked about a WRX. Most specifically, the guy at Port Subaru basically hung up on me before I could ask a few questions. Anton was my primary contact and Rafael backed him up. They both did a great job and were very easy to work with. Anton went above and beyond with the sale and helped me with things like how to install the roof rack and where the Bluetooth microphone is installed if I replace the factory head unit. I would definitely try to do business with them again. More
Rafael was an excellent salesperson. We did not feel pressure during the sale. He answered all our questions. He immediately took me out for a test drive. He told me if I have problems or questions to please call and come in, he will always be available to us. I would highly recommand Rafael as the salesperson to us. More

Was told by the finance guy that my car didn't come with an alarm and that Intercept now replaces LOJACK. This is not true and i bought this based on that information. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS AND KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS. FAST FORWARD ONE MONTH Having spoke to Subaru Of America and the GM at this place, we were able to resolve the issue. If it wasn't for the finance experience, this place would have gotten a higher score and a recommendation or two... Now being mid June- I am still waiting for my refund., i was told by Doug Filardo (GM) two months ago he will take care of it. They tell you what you want to hear but the follow thru is never there. I complained to the BBB and this is the response i got "We are in business to make a fair profit . I am sure that whatever Mr XXX does for a living he expects to be compensated for his efforts . We have made Star Subaru the # 1Subaru dealer in the 5 boroughs and Nassau for the past 5 years by not only giving a fair price but by gaining the respect of our customers . Most of our customers leave saying it has been the best car buying experience they have ever had " Who are these people and why does it conflict with the BBB and dealer ratings? 6/22/11-- After 3 months of chasing my refund down it has been received. Would rate them 0 if I could. I had a signed agreement on the price of a car, but every single time they brought me the financing sheet they had added additional warranties I told them I did not want. After waiting for two hours for them to get it right, they still had not brought me a loan that was for the agreed upon and signed price of the car. Then when I told them I wanted them to change it again to the price we agreed on, they threw me out of the dealership, telling me that I was the problem and that they weren't going to sell me the car unless I agreed to the higher price. They knew I was desperate for a vehicle and had driven a long way to purchase that particular car and they took full advantage of this knowledge. Stay away from Joe Kolb, total xxxxxxx. Finance manager is an even bigger piece of garbage, kept talking to me like I was an idiot... plain and simple, they do not care about you. I do not know how they can sleep at night knowing they do this to customers. More
