Helpful service from start to finish I recently found myself in a tough spot. A nail in my tire, bad enough to cause air to leak, and my home dealership is actually in Connecticut. I called Star Nissan Service an hour before closing time and they told me to come right in. The receptionist (can't remember her name unfortunately) was so polite and patient, even giving me turn by turn directions over the phone. When I got there, Shrenik helped me from start to finish. He was so helpful, going above and beyond to get my tire fixed and to deal with a third party company I have that handles my tire issues. He managed all of my concerns and I left feeling so relieved and so impressed by how efficient they were, especially at such a late hour of the day. More

Jeff handled my case. I arrived in the afternoon and they said they would give it a good look. After about 2.5-3hrs, Jeff came out and said that they aren't finished but the car was safe to drive so I can bring my family of 5 home and come back early in the morning so they can look at it more "indepth" As I drove on the Grand Central, my car almost didn't make it to the Parson's exit. The car was running extremely hot and I couldn't stop on the highway. It was a snowy day and as it just made it off the exit ramp, the radiator cover blew and Antifreeze leaked everywhere. At that point I definitely needed a new Radiator no thanks to Jeff and Nissan crew that said my car was safe to drive. Long story short. All of the staff was full of it. Day 2 of repairs, They had to replace my Radiator (1000 job no thanks to them) they put in Non-Nissan components in my Pathfinder, they "FORGOT" to put in my Thermostat (Who the hell makes a mistake like that) so the car still ran HOT. Then they get an Attitude day 3 calling me a Liar as im bringing the car back to them. I wouldn't let my worse enemy go there. This guys are incompetent and wont even own up for what they did wrong More

I bought my car here three years ago. I brought it in to the service dept. within the first year to have a routine maintenance check done. The service department for STAR Nissan is horrible. You purchase an extended warranty when buying the car and when there is a problem the "specialized mechanics" at the Nissan service center can't seem to purchase an extended warranty when buying the car and when there is a problem the "specialized mechanics" at the Nissan service center can't seem to produce what you are claiming has happenend in order for them to fix it. At an hourly rate of 106.00 per hour you would think that they could fix anything. They always have an answer to avoid fixing the concern. We have been going back and forth with the service department about a rattling sound that we hear in our 2006 Murano. Initially we were told to change the type of gas, we have changed the type of gas and there was still no resolution of the problem. They changed the catalytic converter twice because they said it could be to blame. Well it's not the noise is still rattling away I gave up on trying to have them fix the problem. Another problem is the passenger door in the front creaks which is quite annoying they repadded the door the noise continued. They said I had to purchase a new door because they could do nothing about the creaking of the door. Next problem the driver's seat, is cracked their response was that maybe we do not know how to sit on the seat. I contacted Nissan North America about this one but they said the manager from the service station indicated that the customer is to blame for the seat therefore nothing can be done. This whole fiasco took about 7 months to resolve with their final answer being I can purchase a new seat for 1600.00 dollars. Nissan I am sorry to say does not stand behind their products. When people ask me how I like the Murano I tell them and I am sure that the money Nissan would have spent to correctly fix the problems I had would have been less than the "advertising" they are getting now when people ask me for my opinion. Stay away not worth the headaches, buy American from now on. More
I purchased my 1998 Altima from Star Nissan and while driving it more than 100,000 miles, I have been able to always rely on Star Nissan for maintenance and repairs. They have certainly come to know me and my Nissan over the years and they have provided excellent customer service. That does not mean that there have not been a couple of slip ups, but they always do whatever it takes to correct the problem/issue. I rely on the quality of the parts and workmanship that they provide to protect me and my family. I highly recommend Star Nissan and plan to purchase my new Nissan from them. More
